Does anyone have a pic of Edie with a headband on?
Im having a 60-70 theme party. And I love headbands- but I wanted to channel Edie.
I'll probly do it anyway but I was just curious if she ever sported one

you're all welcome^^
And I love how Edie changed her dress like 3 times on her birthday^^

Thanks eli marie! Love the headband shots! Especially the one from Ciao with the little flower headband.:flower: Too cute.

Cool Eli marie! Thanks so much- now i'm totally transorming into Edie saturday night lol
Great pics Loonaka- I love the shot where she is putting on makeup in her bra

I know this has probably been asked a million times but does anyone know the name of the Bob Dylan song that was allegedly written about Edie? My memory is saying the song 'Just like a woman'

Pardon me if they're re-posts...I've been through the thread...maybe my memory fails me, but I don't remember these.....

I'm never sure how I feel about people liking Edie. Of course it's a free World but for people who have considered her an icon throughout their lives it's difficult to suddenly have everyone know who she is, since Factory Girl. How do other "old" Edie fans feel?

I'm not trying to upset anyone with this, I'm simply stating it's how I feel. I'm sorry if any "new" Edie fans are offended by the question.

I don't really get it..:innocent:

Retroist, Welcome to our Edie thread, you seem new. You will find that most of us here are "old" Edie fans.:P This thread has been around longer than that movie:yuk:

When "new" Edie fans show up, I usually encourage them to forget they ever saw that movie and discover the "real Edie" by reading Edie; American Girl or reading this fabulous thread. (if the movie is how the discovered Edie)

Personally, I think most of us here respect each other and like to share our thoughts and photos of Edie, whether you be an "old" or "new" fan.:D

Thanks Klove, I'm not new actually. I have been lurking here since early last year but have only just posted. As I said, I wasn't trying to offend anyone and I am completely down with the respect of each and every one of Edie's fanbase. I just wanted to see how others felt.

Thank you to you and Loonaka for your replies :]

well regardless, of the "real" edie, i think all the people contributing to factory girl, including family member, old friends, and people from the factory, they probably know a lot more about her than any of us in this forum, so we have to give them at least a little credit, even if anyone dislikes the movie.

well I think more people (or at least as many) contributed to her biography and in that case there didn't have to be an interpretation of edie through an actress, we just read & decide for ourselves.
