prsgl, I agree completely! When I first discovered Edie and her uber-cool sense of style, I always fancied her with cropped blonde/silver hair, but now (for a while actually) I have more of an appreciation for her dark brown hair--especially with it longer. The photo in Jean Stein's book captioned "Edie, 1969" is incredibly beautiful. It showcases her delicate features much better than the peroxide cut. Her eyes really do look like big chocolate drops, without the heavy eye makeup. I also love the contrast of her pale skin, big brown eyes framed by long dark hair. She truly looks like a living doll like this. Her brown bouffant beehive was exquisite as well, and doesn't nearly get enough appreciation!
