that´s from a Jonas Mekas film called Diaries, Notes & Sketches.
a beautiful, but insanely long and boring film.. I think the Edie footage is from a new years party, if I remember correctly..

I just saw some footage of Edie that I've never seen before, it was in the film A Walk Into The Sea..It was really cool. But they said she was in love with Andy and stuff...^^

Thanks for the info Loonaka. Where did you see the film?? Here is their website.

I saw the film at the Cinematheque.
Which photo are you referring to?

I just got my pictures today, the ones of Edie and Andy with the white bunnies if you guys remember..I'm going to post them as soon as I can..

You can pre-order it on amazon. It will be released on 10/28/08. This looks like a very interesting film.

I love :heart:that we share all this info with each other!! I would have never even known to look for this movie. So thanks to everyone (me included) for their hard work researching everything that is Edie and putting it on this thread. I know I appreciate it!:p

Babydoll thanks for the vids it's so nice to see new material for a topic that eveyone thought had worn out!

I love the Rainbow Dress too. And her lovely smile as she walks down the hall of crazy people. But I still cannot get over the fact that she actually did have dozens of real life electroshock therapy sessions. Crazy!!

^ shock therapy is/was very controversial... meant only for people with very serious psychological issues. I mean... getting your brain "fixed" through seizures? that's pretty crazy and, I would imagine, a rather frightening experience...
she seemed like a zombie in that clip. it's so different from earlier years when she was so poised and expressive. I just watched poor little rich girl yesterday. she had the most marvelous reactions...!

Didn't everyone her knew her at that time say that she liked getting shock therapy? That it was like a drug to her...
