for me it´s like that with every book I read... it always feels as if you´re best friends or something with the main character, and the friendship ends when you´ve finished the book...
I´m glad I´m only on page 101....
although I´m very anxoius to get to the part when she meets Andy and all that...

lol. yeah its very like that with this book, but it just seems more real because she was a real person. its quite strange. when i was at that part of the book ur at i was thinking the same thing- cant wait till she falls in with the factory crowd to see what happens.

I've also just finished the book and found it better than I thought it would be.I didn't think much of Edie before but was given the book as a gift and although Im still not a huge fan I can't seem to help but have a soft spot for her now.As sad as the ending is there are some fabulous stories,especially about her time at the Factory.

so I finally watched Ciao! Manhattan yesterday... what an great movie! totally my kind of movie... weird... love it!

I wonder if she really was that drugged or if she was acting?

they shlda gotten jennifer garner to play edie, the resemblance is uncanny! i agree rachel looks similar too.

about that clip of ciao manhattan on www.girlonfire.com, is that for real what she said, that a photographer famous for working with marilyn drugged her and raped her? is that for real? who was that supposed to be? wasn't andy warhol gay? her voice is not what i expected it to be. such a tragic life, seems to me like they lured her in, proceeded to defile her and when it got old, chewed her up and callously spit her out without a second thought. grrr. btw, who's that blonde girl in the striped dress with edie?

^ watch the clip on that website that's what she says. i'm baffled. maybe that was part of another movie she did and they spliced it together? it seemed like she was talking very candidly about her life for some reason.

so I just fast forwarded through The Doors movie to when he´s at that Warhol party... and that girl playing Edie... she really looks like her!!
to bad they didn´t show her more...

and I really think they sort of based Nico on Edie, cause what I have heard Nico wasn´t at all like she´s in that movie.

yes edie was a 'unique human being', but it doesnt mean other people dont bare resemblence to her. im sorry, but some times if rachel bilson has on v.dark eye make up or pulls certain expressions, she definitely looks like edie!!!!
