The idea of that movie was not Edie's
She was acting, not making herself out to be that way, even though she was like that at the time, it's not like that reflects who Edie was...She wasn't just a pathetic drug addicted faliure.

Um....I do realise that. I adore her. The point is that she would rather make movies where she appeared that way than not make movies at all. She wasn't a victim of the industry; she worked it as best she could.

I don't know about being victimless. I mean she got breast implants in the 60's even though she was beautiful without them. Right there is a whistle for low self esteem.

Now,a REAL photo of Edie withour makeup-has never been seen,so dont get all on me about my opinion of that fake photo.

Edie did have fantastic legs. Prehaps from genes/not eating/ doing jazz and ballet dancing twice a day? She said that was the reason for her wearing tights all the time, she was dancing so much that she didn't bother to take them off.

in Edie;American Girl it said something about doing something to her legs when she was younger, like banging them or something...
maybe someone else remember better than me?

What makes you think it is fake? I don't think a site like amazon would put a picture up of her that had been played with.
Also, I've seen a many photos of her without makeup on - and she looks like that, which isn't ugly in my opinion - just the natural Edie.

It's not a fake, why would they make a picture worse to put on the cover of a book anyways?

The photo is the cover of a new book of Warhol’s screen tests. So, it’s definitely real.

I think she looks doped, aesthetically it just looks wrong. Of course that is only my opinion, and perhaps she was beautiful even without make up but just pictured badly without it.

ok now I am mad... I just saw that British popstar Will Young´s video, where he makes a cover of The Doors - Light My Fire (how could they let him do that?) anyway... the video... there´s this girl all made up to look like Edie doing some of those black/white scenes in Ciao.
