I'm 18 but i think my profile says i'm older because i accidently put the year my sister was born. Does anyone know how to change that?

^ Not sure you can change your birthday, which is very annoying. What really annoys me though is the inability to edit posts after 15 (?) minutes.

I'm going to be eighteen this summer.

I'm older than I think all of you are.I am 33yrs old.I didn't say that ANYONE is not a real fan of Edie-I didn't write that, didn't sign the petition or even look at it.I just came here and read what was written and gave my opinion on the idea.I just don't agree but I don't fiercely mind it either way.

^ That's cool :)

And while we're on the age subject, as long as we're not all about 13 or so I don't see what age has to do with it anyway. I don't think being older instantly makes you better, more streetwise, or more of a 'genuine' Edie fan.

Yeah it doesn't matter. I feel like i learned most about Edie in a year because i researched what was already known, now i just learn more gradually.

I always had a feeling most of us "regulars" to this thread are on the "older" side*. I wonder how accurate that is?

So, how old is everyone, if you don't mind me asking?

I'm 21, soon to be 22.

*and by older side, I mean older than teenagers.

Me to!!!!!! I´m 22 by May 25th!!!

Ohh no no, I don't think being older makes you more of a valid Edie fan at all! That person just made me curious how old most of you guys are though.

I turn 18 in fall and have been interested in Edie since I was 14 or so (age I read her bio).

Fairyx.....I am 27 too....but I have turned 25 for my last several birthdays.....

I don't care how old anyone is. Anyone can be an Edie fan. It just pissed me off that that person mad at the petition assumed we were all "Little Girls" jumping on the Edie bandwagon. I am proud to be on a site that accepts all Edie fans, young and younger, new or old!

Im 19.
I was reading my old blog entries and noticed that it was a year ago yesterday that I found an old warhol book at my friends house and saw Edie for the first time, that photo ultimately started my obsession with her, unfortunately a year ago there was only one book available on Edie (and no where to be found in bookstores here) and hardly any youtube videos so this thread saved my ***! :flower:

Let me tell you really....what I don't like about Edie movies out on DVD reasoning for me is that I don't like how everything is just so accessible so easily these days without any mystery or passion.I'm like this about Edie Sedgwick and music really-my two LOVES.
I just cherrish the times through the years I spent building up my collections, traveling to find and see things pertaining to the subjects....hoping to find books,photos,movies-ANYTHING!!!!And it was fun and brings to me great memories. No,I don't think it has to be that way for everyone but it is so much fun.
-Back in the early nineties Ciao Manhatten was VERY HARD to find.I knew that if any Edie movie could be found it was this one.I went to L.A -not just looking for Edie things but just part of life BUT THERE IT WAS-for $70.00 behind glass at the checkout counter on Melrose and I HAD TO HAVE IT,even though I was so broke I could hardly live in the horrible hotel I was staying at.Of course I got it and rushed back to the crusty hotel where fellow residents had the manager play their odd and cheap p*rn on video night and day and he let me watch Ciao for the first time.LOVED IT-I wonder what the other residents thought? But,little moments like this-silly but fun and memorable are what I love about my Edie OBSESSION and to just walk into a usual music/video store and find these DVD boxsets so easily just kinda numbs me.I still LOVE my music on albums too....but of course if Edie's movies ever came out on DVD I could not be stopped from buying them-I'm just sensitive.
But,noone can tell anyone else if they are a true fan or not, that's just ridiculous and childish and makes that person sound like they have major issues.

This may be a silly question...but where were the color sequences of Ciao! Manhattan filmed?

I'm 18.
Despite all of our efforts, I don't think the Warhol Museum would ever produce a DVD collection just for Edie. They would hardly make any profit. The average person doesn't want to pay to sit through hours of Warhol's films. And if they were put on DVD, I'm sure they'd be ridiculously expensive.
And as for myself, I wouldn't buy them. I never buy DVDs of the films that mean the most to me because I don't think they should be viewed over and over again. Otherwise, it just kills it for me.

A agree with my madison, not many ppl will by the films even if they came out on DVD, only the fans would buy them. So i don't think that Edie will become all teenagers rollemodel again. Now a while after the Factory Girl came out, ppl hardly care about Edie anymore.

I would love to have the films, and i would def buy them if the came out on DVD, i just love watching Edie, and even tho I've seen the films i already have with her, I still don't get her, or understand the way she was...:D

I've looked everywhere for Edie's movies and have had no luck. I don't know if i would buy her movies but i just want to see them. It's worth a shot asking them. Personally, i like watching movies over and over and seeing everything, then not watching them for awhile and when you see it again it's like new.

i know what you mean, I do that often. ^_^
I own Ciao manhattan, it took some work to get it but it was worth it.
love that movie!

my idea with the petition, is not to have them make a dvd-box that you can buy in any supermarket, but maybe sell it along with the other Andy Warhol stuff on their website.
I mean, there is a Andy Warhol dvd-box, I can´t imagine it selling that much either, I just want the movies to be available. even if it means only to order them from http://www.warholstore.com/ or amazon.
