Every season I love more and more the fashion world...
I became fan of some designers and start to dislike some things too

Paris, of course is a place to dream...
Where luxury, intelligence, talent
makes wonderful items for woman.

Of course there are some things that makes you think:
OMG, who will wear these?

But suddenly u have to learn the difference between
fantastic clothes to wear and fantastic clothes to admire.

I am man, of course, but I love fashion!, and this season I saw almost all
the collections and it was a fantastic experience.

It was a strange season for me. Many designers followed on from last season with utter boring and uninspiring clothes. But there were several exceptions.

A/W 09-10's Highlights for me (in no particular order:(

I have been dissapointed by all the cities really. But there have been brief flashes of greatness. I really liked Margeret Howell,Nina Ricci (I must be one of the few) and Matthew Williamson. That was about it from all I can remember. Which probably says a lot.

I liked a handful from Milan and Paris mostly. New York had a few which I absolutely loved. I never really paid attention to London :P.

NY:
- Ralph Lauren
- Jason Wu
- Marc Jacobs
- Philip Lim
- Alexander Wang

Milan:
- D&G
- Dolce&Gabbana
- Versace
- Roberto Cavalli

Paris:
- Jean Paul Gaultier
- Hermes
- Louis Vuitton
- Galliano
- Alexander McQueen
- Givenchy
- Lanvin
- Yves St. Laurent
- Elie Saab

The verdict? Paris wins! :D

I was really disappointed with Valentino. To quote NYmag: "Venue of Valentino Show Deemed More Exciting Than Collection". I wish Alessandra had stayed.
But all in all, I loved this season.

For me, it was a bad season, I hate it when it goes too "literal"
the 80's should've taken in a more subtly way...I cannot stand those garments and colors

For my personal style I just ADORED Versace & Chloe
they summed up my day (chloe) & my night (versace)

I'm preparing my massive 1,000 word plus season review as we speak. But looking through all of the shows this season is depressing. None of them really stood out for me.

Personal Favorites:

John Galliano
Christian Lacroix
Lanvin
Alexander McQueen
Givenchy

My favourites:

Alexander McQueen
John Galliano
Jil Sander
Rick Owens
Richard Nicoll
Nina Ricci (the best maybe its his last show)
Christopher Kane
Junya Watanabe

(not in order)

Marc by Marc in NY still holds strong, Chris Kane's velvets out of London, Gaiter-ade at Prada and the inner turmoil at Van Noten.

Lanvin
Givenchy
Prada
Nina Ricci
Dior

First, I hated most of the 80's stuff (especially the shoulders) and was unsurprised that Valentino was crap. I loved the dreaminess of most of the shows, the louche party dresses, the silk (especially done by Balenciaga and Dior), the fur, all of the assymetrical draping, and the crazy *** shoes (loved Dior).

My favorites (in no order:(
Dior
McQueen
Missoni
Yigal Azrouel
Versace
L'Wren Scott
Lanvin
Galliano
Ann Demeulemester

Disappointing season overall, probably due to the pastiche of the 80's and the economic climate.

When I think of Fall 2009, I'll think of 80's, black leather, over-the-knee boots and red.

Highlights

Proenza Schouler
Missoni
Burberry
Prada
Marni
Givenchy
Lanvin
Nina Ricci
John Galliano
Louis Vuitton

Disappointments

Alexander Wang
Marc Jacobs
Alexander McQueen
Dior
Balenciaga
Dolce&Gabbana
Gucci
Rodarte
Miu Miu
Versace

Finally my computer will get a little rest:woot::lol:
My Highlights

NY: I tended to really dislike alot of the shows, they were very boring.
Doo.Ri
DKNY
Ralph Lauren
Marc Jacobs
Rodarte
Proenza Schouler

London: Mhhhhheee....Christopher was the only one that stood out.
Christopher Kane

Milan: My biggest dissapointment
Roberto Cavalli
Gucci

Paris:
Balenciaga
Chanel
John Galliano
Louis Vuitton
Dior
Givenchy
Nina Ricci
Lanvin

My favourites (no order:(

Lanvin
Missoni
Dior
Galliano
