Gareth Pugh S/S 09 Paris

Love it! Especially Lily's outfit - she looks like the Queen

:innocent: not wearable at all, but very VERY! impressive

I always love the shapes he uses!

But this would be pretty hard to wear! :/

YAY Paris is here FINALLY :buzz:

I can't wait to see how this translates into editorials. I can see some of it being wearable if you dress is completely down. Love it.

Loving this! I would actually wear some of the pieces in it. I'd have to say this is one of his best collections to date.

Who cares about wearability in Paris? After all the überwearable clothing at the shows during rest of the fashion weeks I definitely need something like that B)

such a long way since that rat coat... i love the futurism thing. and yes, i can see them in A LOT of editorials.

...This is the first time I can genuinely say I like his pieces...

now i know why he is showing in paris. So far...i like what i see. very crazy!!

Some of these could easily be wearable if you dress it down and wear your hair casual

Can't wait to see more!

I love that he's repeating the texture of the ruff for his dress (on Lily D.)!
and how the white suit (on Olga S.) looks like it was made of pixels...

I can't wait to see the entire collection!

interesting review by H Alexander.
It is outrageous no matter what but kudow for trying Gareth!
You never know, he might get a ticket with one of the big houses one day just because of his originality. I see these things differently. A show is just a show to me so it can be as crazy and unsellable as they want. As long as the showroom proposes more commercial pieces its all good :)

I'm actually really impressed ...I wasn't so sure about Pugh before actually

Can't wait to see the rest....

I'm surprised at how many people's reviews don't go past the point of whether something would be considered 'wearable' by general standards. Is that all fashion is about? What about the artistic aspect, the visualization of a great mind's concepts and exciting silhouettes and design in general?

I think this collection is surely one to be applauded... he's showing an ability to really edit and some maturity in his point of view without losing his sense of self.

^That's right. As much as I wasn't keen on his collections, this one is quite admirable so far! I guess moving to Paris was a good step ^_^
