Gareth Pugh Mens F/W 09.10 Paris

completely agree.

I mean, i'd consider myself fairly progressive with what i wear (i guess i'd have to be considering purchases with gareth), but when i look through this line, there isn't too much i'll be throwing money at. possibly the black robe, dependent on price, but that's about it.

I also think Jean-Pierre Braganza does a similar form of womenswear to gareth, but I do tend to find myself more interested in what Jean-Pierre comes away with each season...

not sure if the girls agree.

well jean-pierre is also a bit more original and talented in his construction and form. maybe even more innovative.

but that's not to say gareth hasn't anything just that i sometimes his looks can be a bit derivative once you look beneath the showiness and embellishments. alot of those shapes still remind me of boudicca.

I love this collection but just can't see myself wearing it. I mean, honestly, who's going to wear that fur covered sweater? I definitely appreciate the strength of the collection, but overall just think it's a bit too in your face. I bet after a few more seasons he'll start to get a feeling for what will work and what wont a bit more. Still, great show.

im expecting to see high-profile woman fashionista rocking this mens collection sooner than later. (if you know what i mean..)

Really? You mean the piped shoulders?

hey ... the fact you revived this thread makes me wonder ...
"did i see his SS 2010 collection ?"

i just can't remember it ...
was it so boring that i forgot it ...
or is it just because he actually had no date for menswear ?

what's going on ?

Unfortunately he didn't do a men's collection for S/S 2010.
Which disappointed me greatly, as he is one of my most favourites.

This collection (F/W 09) is the best I've seen in ages. And definitely my favourite of all the F/W collections. Gareth Pugh is beyond amazing, I always love everything he does.
