i recently have bought my girlfriend the Gucci Tan on Beige Small Boat Pochette Bag Handbag but i am having some serious issues about beliving its real or not... the zipper appears to be very cheep..

what are distint fetures of this bag i should be looking for to know if it is fake

and is there a place online that i could run the sn# that is stamped on the back of the tag to see what it comes up with

please help me

If you ring an English speaking Gucci store they could probably tell you what the control number is from.

To avoid this kind of problem, I think everyone should buy their designer goods from a liscensed dealer or a designer store.

cause there is never a 100% possibility to get a REAL bag just by seeing it on a picture

All I can say is that people should beware of all sites without a good reputation and sites like eBay should warn their users more clearly of scams and publish details of how to shop safely.

if you are goingt o find discount at least go to an outlets tore or respectable website like bluefly.com

although i ahve bougth of few really designer items forme bay, but i knwo tehas items are not beging knocked of.

Okay, okay people!

Now that's off all our chests can we give this poor guy some help? He's feeling bad enough without us rubbing salt in.

My advice:

Get pictures of the real labels and check they are in the same places on yours. Compare the size of the writing also.

Check the hardware. Does it feel like real brass/steel/whatever?

Does the bag look cheap?

How good is the quality of the stitching?

Find some pictures of the real dustbags and compare the ones you got with yours.

Ring Gucci and ask them if the control number is genuine.

Check the bag against a picture against a BonaFide one and make sure it's identical.

i got the same one in a darker tan color and i must admit that those are everywhere and a lot of fakes are around? in fact most of the ones i see are fake
i got mine as a gift and cannot guarantee its 100% authenticity either

yes that is the bag... for the most part it looks like that but since i got it in the beidge it has a tan handle... the brass where it says gucci looks idetical and the stitching looks very uniform.. but the inisde of the bag is what bothers me and is why i say it looks cheep im used to seeing like a coach bag with a large tag on the inside stating whatever it says.. but this has a small tan peice of leather saying gucci made in italy... but on the reverse side it has a 9 digit serial #

i have got my in the other room. will have a look at it and tell you what it says on mine. but you shoudl know that these pochettes are pretty plain in the inside since they are real small

now i know how most of you frown uppon buying things over the internet the shop the bag was ordered from had all this 100% authenticity guarantee... only reason im bugging out is becasue i saw another bag but the handle was a different color... but also the fabric was the same color as the bag that PrinceOfCats posted

Hey if its a real..congrats if its a fake...congrats! Most people cant tell...you cant even really tell..so enjoy it and dont worry about it

It doesn't really look right to me.

The zip is a bit wobbly, the fabric just looks drab somehow and isn't the least bit aligned. But maybe Gucci doesn't really bother about alignment? (The original posted isn't perfectly aligned either...) The colour combo of the leather/fabric looks odd. Also, the leather and zip colours don't match.

I'm no Gucci expert, my gut tells me it's fake. It could be authentic I guess.

The Gucci metal plate appears to be placed higher on the original?

Also, compare the two lines of stitching next to the zip between the two bags.
