Givenchy F/W 10.11 Paris

It doesn't feel in keeping with his previous collections. But I guess he's charting a new course??
Either way I love the coats (especially the one on Anna J), and the shoes are also pretty awesome.
I do miss the gothic/romantic vibe though...

AHHHHH!
OMG this was the show that i always wait for and this was sooooooooo worth the wait
i loved EVERY piece
stunning, just stunning
i wish tucci did a live stream

**please visit supporting cast to discuss models**
but i love Lindsey Scott's jacket(ugh now, i need it now)
i loved the red lines they seemed so freash for him
i wonder did he use velvet or shaved fur, it looked beautiful either way
the red jackets coats and dresses were magnificent. This was a 5star collection

The prints, the cuts, the colours, all is just perfect for me! It seems really unique, as banal as it may sound :heart:

I usually like his work but this collection is not good at all, in my opinion. The only thing I find interesting so far are the shoes.

im usually the first to like a givenchy collection but this is just god awful and very Alexander Wang .

peeling cropped boot cut pants is not very appealing to look it

so far I like it not love. Wont pass judgment until HQs and details.

Alexander Wang? Where? I can't beleive many people would even compare this kind of craftsmanship to Alexander Wang!

This is a great collection to be honest, I think it's nice to see Ricardo turn to more color for a change cause we would normally not see that in his previous collections. The coats in this collection are so astonishing and very versatile (which probably explains why less than half of the show established some of the fall menswear into it) The asseccories are much more chic and dressier this season and I really adore them in that green pallette.

This is overall another great collection Ricardo is doing for the house. I am so happy he's indulged more chicness to his collections rather than the gothy-looking pieces that are only in black, white and gold.

And AMAZING model casting!

Well, I am disappointed.
Not TOTALLY disappointed but I wanted something better.
I feel like it is a definite mixed bag, I hate the looks with the suits and velvet bits, they feel really cheap, but I love outfit that kinda echoes the couture collection.

Kinda iffy about the print, not sure how I feel yet. It feels kinda....lederhosen???

we have seen such amazing collections from him (except couture) and this.... is Disappointing: is not bad, but I was expecting more from him.

cathy horyn is gonna have a field day with this one.

i actually quite love it. it's nice to see tisci moving away from the predictable goth punk elegant thing he's been doing for so long. this is still quite dark and a little gothic elegant but i feel like he's taking it to a more futuristic look with a simple not extravagant silhouette which makes my outlook on givenchy this season a fresh one.
I agree completely.

I also see a vague lederhosen look in some of the pieces, which I find rather interesting and fresh in Riccardo's hands. Which also reminds me of his RTW Fall/Winter 2006 collection, which I loved.

Interested to see detail shots and the video. But at this point, I'm not disappointed, and that's great.

**EDIT**
Going through the full collection again, I have to say that I think this is gorgeous. This reminds me so much of Tisci's earlier work for Givenchy, which makes me so happy. I felt as though recently Givenchy was lacking that same spark, intensity and sincerity that was so much a part of Riccardo's first collections for the house. Everything is perfect as it is...no excessive ruffles, frills, chains, studs, etc. I am so in love with the red lace, the skiing sweaters (which are bizarrely erotic here), and the little details like the embroidered gloves and clutches and the ribbons tied around the model's neck and hair...I am very pleased and impressed.

I adore this collection.

I like this collection for its usual Givenchy chic, especially the lace collage pieces. The ethnic collage are too predictable for me. What bothers me about Tisci is that he really stays with *one* body-con silhouette, a flattering, strict, slim cut but it is not showcasing his range in construction. Elbaz at least tries to expand his range in his current collection, despite being entirely comfortable with the Lanvin signature cut/look. This collection is wearable and attractive, but not something that would stun and surprise anyone.

that white feathered top with the transparent fabric flowing behind it looks gorgeous...
