Gisele's shots are so much better than MCB's and it's mainly because the menswear isn't as atrocious in those. Really, really love this campaign. It's my favorite campaign of the season so far but I wish the menswear in MCB's shots was more harmonic with the mood of the shots. But the setting and the "we're too cool for you" looks they all have going on are amazing, love it.

This last are better the previus page with Mariacarla

I love the ominous and moody feel of these ads.

I don't like this campaign, something's off with the pictures. I don't get the wibe of the beach and the grey weather... it's just not very interesting. I like maria carla's presence in this spread but otherwise I dont see the point...

i agree that the men's clothes are really intense, but i think the women actually stand out against the loudness of the men's clothes...

the skirt thing is distracting and why promoting too much skirts, while in the real life mens won't wear that.

Gisele's shots look better, and that because the guys next to her aren't wearing the bird of paradise print. These intense prints shouldn't have been shot next to the womenswear. You just focus on them and forget who's next to those guys.
Remove MCB from the photos and you get great shots. Add MCB in the photos in which the guys are wearing dark clothes and that'll look as good as Gisele's shots.

MCB's pics are a lot better, not even boring. I much prefer hers to Gisele's. I found Gisele is not a good fit for Givenchy, though I liked her campaign in 2000.

Loved the new shots from MCB and Gisele. I think they both look good and they really suited the concept. It's also nice to see M&M doing something different, not as much predictable as the oversatured colors.

So so true. Love it!:heart:

Exactly why I like it - there's a storm coming; I can remember how it feels to be by the sea when rain is coming without actually being sure if I have ever experienced it.
Unfortunately I hated both the men's and the womenswear collections by Givenchy.

I like Mariacarla's shots, especially first one but prefer Gisele's new shots, even if they're in poor quality. I'm dying to see HQs.

why are Gisele's shots the only ones that look like they didn't have to shine a spotlight on the models? so much better.

the artificial lights ruin the whole mood in the MCB pics.

is it just me or is this way too similar to willy vanerperres vogue home story, simone with surf board on a beach with moody sky and colours???

So it's Gisele for the early evening beach shots and MariaCarla for the night shots........makes sense, and MCB's shots work better, as she is darkness personified. But all of this is matterless as the whole thing is quite literally ruined by the revolting menswear.:ninja: Please!!!

Love the new pictures!, excellent art direction. One of the best Givenchy campaigns in a long time. This is what people that live on sunny beaches expect to see one day in an ad, not the thong+sunbathing+greasy types that people that don't get to see sun often do in 99% of fashion advertisements and editorials :innocent::lol:.

The colors are perfect too, work perfectly with the clothes. I love that Riccardo's slowly evolving, leaving his conventional Goth muse and making her a lot more dimensional, while still using the same elements from his first days at Givenchy.
