Givenchy S/S 2016 by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott

I'm with you 100% Legolas. I know they MIGHT get paid only half of what the girls get paid, but sometimes the guys are more interesting than their female counterparts. (Givenchy as well as the new Versace.) I am so glad to see Filip and Alessio, but since Ricardo is using his favorites/"fam", why no Simon Nessman? After all he did the campaign like 6 seasons in a row.

They didn't pick Dominik Bauer and Rob Evan, Simone Nobili,Jarrod Scott,Paolo Roldan,Chris Moore. They walked givenchy men almost every season.

There is literally no connection between the message of love and the cold dystopian models swooshing past the camera. Love is more than a hashtag or written poem, this is just hot air. As usual by now for Givenchy.

Is a ok campaign, but i can't understand some things, for example, Miranda never walked a Givenchy show, less a special feature of Riccardo & his gang, i guess she's on the campaign because of the full of casting?.. I will prefer to see Adriana replaces Miranda on this campaign. Shocking than Raquel, Jamie, Iris & other girls who are Riccardo's muses than don't get the ads.

lol @ the newbies shot killing it the veterans.
I love the all white clothes, the composition and the architecture. Came across very calm and badass at the same time to me (when I first saw the picture) Plus, Leela is clearly the standout in this campaign. Even all the veterans felt flat. Their shot has absolutely no impact whatsoever. What a shame and waste of cast.

I bet Natalia demanded that she was closer to the camera in the second shot cause she was too far in the back in the first one.

Cause you know, that's how she is.

They made quite a strong collection incredibly bland. Too many models and not enough focus on the clothes and too much focus on the casting and making this about 'love & family' - an aesthetic I'm bored of from Riccardo. Even the film fell flat with me it just didn't hit it for me. I feel this should have been much darker and moody, the New York streets is what I'm disliking also, I wish Steven Klein would shoot their campaigns for at least one season just for a fresh vision over Riccardo's gothic approach.

I love the print ad Leela owned it! The Video ad is somewhat confusing tho

27 Models, but I am only getting 22. (Including the guys.) Am I missing something, or is it that we just haven't seen some of the shots yet, therefore maybe some models maybe just haven't surfaced yet??????

I don't really understand the concept...like why would you sell clothes with love? This is a mess.

OMG, the video is SO CORNY. My sugar levels are out of control!

Filip is haunting, though.

27 models?

I count 22:
8 new models
8 old models
6 guys

Irina Shayk might be in this as well

i don't like what their filter is doing with Joan's skin. it looks... one dimensional.

the bags in the women's shot is so distracting. i guess Riccardo was able to make a compromise in the last seasons by putting the accessories with the celebs in portrait shots, leaving the other page free of distracting bags and shoes that rarely fit in with the rest of the collection.

also, M&M should know better by now than to put people right in the middle of the photo, who will be pretty much invisible on a two page spread.

That campaign (and the collection), the video and the whole thing is more gimmicky than any Karl's runway shows at Chanel.
Are we really supposed to buy, wear and desire those clothes?

It makes his message very superficial. I'm done with Givenchy spring 2016.

And what's the point of having Raquel walking your show if you're not giving her the campaign?

LOVE LOVE LOVE !!! Gemmaaaaa and Joan together in an ad campaign = DREAM come true.
