Came across this campaign when doing some research earlier and I have fallen in love with it all over again - despite not being overly impressed back in 2013. I'd completely forgotten about it, but this really was such a strong campaign from M&M. It's bold, graphic, dark, sleek and very visually appealing. I love the navy with the black Gucci pieces and how the beauty styling completely transformed Abbey Lee Kershaw.

Very much enjoying reminiscing over all these fabulously glam Frida Giannini Gucci campaigns today!

Why she was fired? I really liked the Frida years as well, and her muses like Karmen, Anja, Natasha and Joan. Michele's brings the Woodstock aesthetic which is nice for a season, but over and over kills Tom Ford legacy. I agree with you @vogue28, the last campaigns are great compared to the usual delivery.

I believe Giannini departed Gucci after CEO Marco Bizarre, found it too difficult to work with her (for whatever reason) and she was forced to leave a month before her contract was up. Giannini's husband Patrizio di Marco was also sent packing!
