Terrible collection, in my opinion. Props, I guess, to Frida for trying something different, but unfortunately, it's a fail. My main issue is that there are just too many different directions and ideas within this collection - sneak skin, ruffles, psychedelic, hippie, minimalist, modern, retro, colors, Florida retirement wear, etc,. And that's not to say that I dislike all of it, just that they just don't particularly work together. Another problem is that most of it is just so shapeless. It didn't even look good on models.

Shoes and hair/makeup were killer though.

I only love it because it reminds me of Lanvin, this collection seems also very relevant to their S/S 09 collection in terms of the colors and prints.

this is so so bad. and on top of everything it all looks so cheap. the color blocking + ruffles make it look like a bad mix of lanvin and current valentino, with a bit of old school pucci prints in the mix. awful.

I've never been a fan of ruffles, they've never worked to me. And right now I'm thinking about that dress Chloe Sevigny wore at the Golden Globes, which I didn't like anyway.
I don't really know what to think about this collection yet. F/W was sensational and the resort collection was quite good as well. But this one... I guess Frida's strength is not spring/summer collections. I love the jewelry against the white looks and when python is tastefully used, like in this case, it never goes wrong to me. Need to see more...

Those were gorgeous. Easily the highest points of the collection. Pure luxury, but so chic. I wish Frida had gone more in that direction instead.

Good Lord, what a hot mess! That's probably one of the worst Gucci collections of the past few years... Between the ruffles that will make anyone look like some kind of abyssal creature, the ugly prints and some shapeless offers, there is nothing to like about this collection.

I loved the show, it was simple, chic, and felt very Italian. I also loved how she followed on from the mens show and had bold colours in specific sections.

And the accessories! Stunning! <3
