Yes, that is what I mean,
if JKR had chosen to kill off Harry or any of the trio, it would have elevated the book to another level and the series would have finished off as something that transcended the stereotypical tendencies that so frequently dominate books nowadays.
In fact when the spoiler I read said that he did die (though....he technically "did" ), I was actually quite approving (and proud of JKR

In any case, that is not to say I didn't enjoy the book (or currently enjoying the book. I'm almost done

) because I do and I bawled my eyes out during several moments (Dobby's death, for instance. Hermione' tourture) but to say the least, the fairytale ending JKR chose to finish off the series has left me disappointed and slightly sickened (and the NAMES didn't help)
I'll probably re-read it and appreciate it more
And I'm extremely anti-Ginny/Harry which adds to my dislike of the ending
