High Waisted Jeans #1

i got my dittos a week or so ago and found that they were true to size (YES!) and that they actually fit pretty well...
very comfortable too..
no butt pockets but there is a sort of double line there that helps to minimize the size of your rear and sort of perk it up in a nice way..

it's a good, not too high, high-waisted jean i think..

although.. i'm pretty sure they were advertised as a 32 inch inseam and were definitely closer to a 34 (maybe even 36?)...
i'm getting them hemmed...

I like the steel blue color dittos , but its hard to find them.

I want to pick up a pair of these soon. I noticed that they make already long legs (like mine) even longer. And I take it if someone wants to look more elongated, these will do the trick.

go for it ..........but try a bunch on , the fits and leg types vary like crazy , from 9 inch rise to 12 inches , to skinny legs to super flares , high waisted jeans have everthing under the sun.

Me and my Monki jeans in action!

Thanks for the update! And yay, I'm not crazy regarding the inseam. :innocent::lol:

For the record, I bought the Level 99 sailor jeans I've been after. Love them. Wore them with a Rag & Bone blue fitted cropped jacket & red blouse with blue/white striped layering on Friday and it looked terrific. The inseam on the L99's are about 34", which is fine for me, especially with heels.

miss60: you look fantastic! Love the styling. Reminds me of what I did on Friday with my outfit.

wow miss60

thats such an awesome outfit , takes you from work to a dinner date , tres chic:heart:

I am okay with high-waisted trousers. Only high-waisted jeans I'm fine with are those high-waisted, trouser-style jeans (they are considered jeans despite their classy look). I think the kinds of high-waisted jeans I like best are any high-waisted jeans that aren't skinny leg or slim leg. I think it's trying too hard to really try to have a silhouette look from stomach to ankles with skinny jeans. Only exception is if you can pull off a skinny jean look to perfection.

The jeans from Post #1,485 by miss6o are absolutely perfect. The look of the jeans are absolutely classy the way the legs are with these jeans. The legs look more like a good pair of dress pants down the legs and can be a lovely pair of jeans to wear to work on casual Fridays. May even have gone with athletic or fashionable sneakers (only as long as they aren't Converses) and would still look amazing. Something else I like about the picture in Post #1,485 is the kind of retro feel to the look. Then again, Miss Sixty is best known for their retro style. I usually read about Miss Sixty bellbottom jeans. The retro feel to the jeans makes it even more enjoyable to wear. I'd still like those jeans even if they were in beige, tan, white, or maybe even black.

hey miss 60

did you try the welt pocket jeans at H&M , the are similar to the ones kate moss wore and they are pretty reasonably priced , 24 dollars here?? Its featured in their website??

I know the ones youre talking about, the one that has like a braided belt made out of denim right? No I havent tried them yet.. I should though.. Are they really high waist? And tight on the leg like the Monkis?
I saw them in 3 washes, two blue and one white.

Well thank you for the sweet comments! Retro look is definately what I was going for. Ive been watching A LOT of Three's company lately.

BTW my name is not Miss Sixty its Miss6o. ;) I love the swinging 60's though! One of my fav decades...

no its just like the chloe kate moss jeans , not super high waisted like your monkees , i would say 9.5inch rise-10 inch , you can check their website they have paired it with tees , not as glamourous as your outfit , but im sure you will come up with better ideas to wear those H&M jeans.

I think they're here to stay. I remember this thread form ages ago and noticed it was started in 2005! I recently got myself a pair of blue stripe high waist trousers. It's just a matter of working it with my wardrobe...

hm jeans

yeah miss60 , the jeans your talking about are modelled by liya kebede , they are very fashionable , very chloe , i like em ,

The ones im talking about are 198 kroner , worn with a white belt and grey top and called the "byxa"

im still not sure if they ever "came" . even here in NY, I only see a few girls wearing this look, day, night, weekend etc. i do think jeans rises are higher in general. i do see it more in spring/summer, when you don't want anything sticking to your legs.

Ok so they are more like trouser material, not denim. I saw those in the store too. Maybe Ill try them on.. Im very intrigued by the denim ones...but Im not sure if they are slim enough on the thigh.
