i'm sorry if you like stonewashed bell-bottom flares that are 'flattering' to your curves and derriere. would you like some swarovski crystals emblazoned on the back pocket with that?

all i did though was answer your question. :P but yeah... it definitely takes a certain confidence and attitude to pull those trousers... or any other piece of clothing...

^_^ Thanks for your pictures - they prove your point. The women look cool!

similar to early to mid 80s pants , exxagerated hips , very loose at the thigh and supertapered at the ankle . Very kitcsh , can look cute but in reality the most hideous pair of pants you will own . Neither does it have the sleekness of skinny pants nor comfort and chicness of wide leg pants but YSL and MJ showed it , and hopefully they will be the only ones who will show it lol .

Personally, I think they're another refreshing alternative along with the wideleg pants for the new FW season, I like the slouchiness of them...They're very forwards and figure picky...I think it just comes down to great personal styling and right proportion. They look fanatastic cropped:heart: and with narrow top-half

i think you have to be super skinny to pull these off not very flattering for your bum i must say .. curves are a big no no !!

I am not a fan of the denimn ones but some of the pant ones are ok :)

Well people can be curvy and slim..but anyway I love this look , I think it has many different names and interpretations I'll draw the line at the way it was done at Dior Homme.

^^ i know what i mean is people with big bums+ thses pants= big no no

Ohh sorry !

I remember a while ago in Uk Vogue they had a supplement for various dressing for various different body types and the althetic example wore some grey harem pants with some heels the outfit was amazing if anyone remembers reading it ?

Honestly... why? Can't the '80s just die a miserable and insignifant death and never be granted resurrection? It should be one of the Ten Commandments- "Thou shalt not revive the '80s." Or at least, a fashion Commandment.

I liked gaucho pants for their airy look and flare. I think capris (especially wide-leg ones) provide a lovely look for the legs of ladies who wear them. Cuffed capris and cuffed pants offer a casual and fun look. But combine the wideness of such pants with an Aladdin-style pant look, and you get the worst bottoms look this side of leggings under skirts. I have two criteria regarding wide-legged pants. I either love wide-legged pants from waist to feet (or however long the pant legs are), or I love pants that start skinny and flare outward further down. I even love full skirts and the tulip and trumpet skirts. But this look is beyond ludicrous. I think these can be wide in the WRONG places. Only conceivable look for some of these pants is to go for an equestrian look. Even though I (still) dislike tucking jean/pant legs into boots, the pants from the first picture of the Nina Ricci collection from Post #11 seems most appropriate for an equestrian-style look. The only other of these pants I like is the final picture from the first post.

Other than that, these pants are ludicrous. The pants widen at an unfavorable place. Almost as if someone installed permanent airbags in the pant legs between the waistline and the knees. The pants themselves are okay in design, but I don't see these being the next big thing. And I probably don't WANT these to be the next big thing. Wrong on many levels! Bad idea.

^I rather like those.. they'd perhaps look better with different shoes but overall, the material and cuts seems well enough.

I also love the pants of the blonde girl on the first post.. what's her name?, I keep seeing her all around wearing lovely clothes..
