True. It's an utter bore (and I've seen the airports of Beijing and Vienna!). Plus, why do they have to have people go through security twice, when you you wanna do, is transfer to another flight? It's not like I got me some bomb material ON the flight. Idiots.....

I demand a connecting tunnel for transfers at CDG!

I like my local airport, it has everything you need, tons of restaurants (even fine dining!) and shops, plus if you're 21 you can gamble if you're bored

omg i just remembered, on my last plane flight i took along my sissors (for cutting my bangs) and without thinking i put them in my makeup bag which i put in my carryon.
well.,. nothing happened, because i opened my bag on the plane and was shocked to find my sissors!
i cant believe they didnt take any notice...

Scissors - plastic or metal with blunt tips.
Scissors - metal with pointed tips and blades shorter than four inches in length.

nono, these have very sharp tips and blades for cuttingmy bangs, and are long, more then 4 inches.

This is a stupid question & sorry if its already been answered but- due to the restrictions of what you can take, could I take the small tin vaseline with me? I have really dry skin problems & I would die without it.

-Also, does anyone else find that they break out/ have greasy hair by the time they arrive? My trip will be 12 hours I'm not sure what to pack yet

I have the same problem, when I step out of a plane I look very dirty and messy
The small tin shouldn't be a problem, but I can't guarantee it 100%. Last year, when they started with all the liquid restrictions, I flew from the USA and they checked my shoes, jacket etc. but didn't say anything about my handcream and lipgloss (which has the same consistence as Vaseline).
I would call your flight agency though or check their website, just to be sure.

I doubt vaseline will be a problem. When I went through security in European airports, I had lipbalm and gloss on my jeans pockets, so they didn't get checked.

I'd say, bring a small bottle of toner with you on the plane, then some cotton pads or balls. You can get the face fixed half an hour before you arrive. As for the hair..... maybe a hat? A chic version would be a silk scarf.

I think that certain people start to sweat more easily due to the confined space. Claustrophobia light. Then there's anxiety, stress, etc.....

I always bring a toothbrush and toothpaste as well as mints/gum, because after the night (when I sleep, if it's a long flight)--my throat usually feels closed up and my mouth smells a little too.
