I think Claire Danes also deserves mention on this board. She does a lot of Indie films (Igby Goes Down, Stage Beauty, It's All About Love, Polish Wedding, I love you, I love you not and several other) and she's been an it girl due to more mainstream stuff (Mys So Called Life, Little Women, Romeo and Juliet, Terminater 3).
