highly recommended!

Rebecca is one of my favourite films of all time. And one of my top favourite books.

Uhhh, I think I read the book a long time after I saw the film. The book is an incredible story - I adore it, better than the film but it is worthy.

I just watched Grey Gardens starring Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange.
I thought maybe the acting of Drew Barrymore probably let the whole film down, though I don't know how the real "Little Edie" talked or acted yet, (the original documentary is on on Wednesday - I am dying to see) but the entire idea and looking at photos of the real people they got the costumes and props and looks exactly correct.
Their story is the type that inspires me greatly.

Another inspiration I received today was from the fifteenth century Bonfire of the Vanities in Florence - the gathering of riches and decadence (likely including original artworks by the likes of Botticelli) and burned them on a huge bonfire in the middle of the city.
