Lovely! I had never seen this piece before, but it's stunning. His work reminds me a lot of Waterhouse, who is one of my favorite painters.

love the fleshtone, nude colors & little details to each look.
so calm + effortless.

the opening page reads;

the seemingly anonymous backdrops in these images are fond and familiar sights to photographer anders edström; he has walked along the grey gravelled streets, past the bare walls of corrugated houses countless times. the location is ayabe, a village surrounded by mountains outside kyoto, japan, where edström's wife's grandparents have lived and worked their whole lives. edstrom's images often uncover beauty in unexpected places.
"at one point in the middle of the shootthe model froze, and asked why on earth i wanted to do a shoot in such a place. she just couldn't see what the interest would be. to me it's interesting. the colours, the quietness, the sounds."
