by - your bags are all SO gorgeous! i love the thick matte leather...you are converting me!

does anyone know how to tighten GH thimbles? i can feel that two are loose. i can turn them until they stop, but it isn't very tight or secure. i really do not want to take the bag back to the cobbler to be repaired (it's already been there once). i know girls talk about tightening the studs...any clue?

super glue them. i super glue any studs felt off my bags.

crystal7- yes i would do what baby_yorkie suggested - ask him to check the lock to ensure it's tight before shipping

Hi, I need some advice please....l'm about to pay for my alexa bag from Jacky, but I don't want to get one with a loose postman's lock, how should I approach this with him I mean if I ask too many questions then... he'll send me out the door!!

Crystal: I would not pay for any Alexa until we sort out our problems. It is very expensive to send a bag back to China and this seems to be an issue with Quality Control that needs to be fixed beforehand.

I just received email from Jacky stating that he would look into the problem with the lock on the Alexa.
I told him that alot of ladies are getting them with faulty locks. I would not order the bag until this
is sorted out.

baby_yorkie: The lock being broken is a very big deal. It wobbles around on its own and does not stay closed. It also seems like it is going to break off.
I figure Jacky does not want these bags coming bag to him in China due to defect so he will address this issue. Also this is not an issue of fabric on a Louis Vuitton not lining up. This is a broken lock which actualy is a big issue.
Apparently a great deal of the locks of the bags that have been sent out are that loose. I have an authentic Alexa bag and the lock should not be loose at all. It should be sturdy and firm and keep closed.

Guys I finally got my bag from T&D and OMG it is absolutely beautiful! My first one and I am HOOKED!!!

Question: smell isn't too bad and I've had it out in the garage for a week airing out. Any faster way to get some of the "weird" odor gone?

regarding the rep alexa lock - i'm not so sure it's really faulty but it does wobble, but upon closer inspection - appears it's a spring inside that makes it able to turn and thus wiggle. in reviewing the auth alexa lock - it looks similar but i don't feel a spring inside. i think jacky may have used a different lock and this type of lock was used on all of his alexas. i personally am not that bothered by it and will save the hassle of returning both bags. i'm just going to use it until it breaks.

i did hear back from jacky who said he will send a replacement if it does break but once again i'm just not too concerned about it but maybe i should be

i guess i would be concerned if it was on my auth bags since they do cost so much

crystal: You can ask him to check the lock and hopefully he will. I think that this is a problem with all the bags though. He many not have a perfect one to sent you at this point in time. You can pay for it and wait for him to sort out the Quality Control Issue. I cannot tell you that he will check the lock. I don't know what kind of customer service he has.

BY- is all framboise leather as good as your first? FAB...I love that smooth matte leather, so nice to see it make an appearance.

chicadee: The lock is faulty in my opinion as it should not move around as easily as it does. The lock on my Rep Bayswater does not move around.
I am glad that it does not bother you but it does bother me. When I buy a bag I expect the lock to be sturdy and secure. My replacement may not have these issues though as I am switching to an Ink Alexa and the problems will most likely be sorted by Jacky beforehand.

I love leather with little or no distressing in, the less marbeling the better for me.

I'm very excited to get my hands on my new to me rubisse it looks smooth and saturated, only seen a couple of pics of other NBF'S Ruby's, so this is very exciting.
