I've stopped wearing my Jacky Chanel because as much as I try to pin down the sides, it looks really off, I've even stuffed my bag to make it look even, but there is no structure on that bag.

I am just getting started w reps - but have carried my T&D Officier Twiggy non-stop - it definately belongs in my top 3

My auth Bal 07 Vermillion Hobo is my other go to bag

Have T&D ever made Vermillion? I love bright vibrant Bals. Officier works for me bc the color has so much depth - the distressing on the leather shows different blue tones, its like a big blueberry.

My next step is getting some T&D neutrals...holding out for olive. Bagalicious' gret from buyandsell is stunning, especially next to the auth....can't tell the difference between those sisters.

That's cool that you see alot of authentic balenciagas at work, Bagalicious. I hardly ever see them. I live in Texas though--- not as glamorous a place as NY. B)

People here automatically assume my bags are authentic, I think because I'm an attorney and I dress relatively well. I have a really large collection of handbags, a large portion of which are authentic. All my Balenciagas however are purely T&D. I was perusing Jacky's site (AGAIN) and I feel like I want to kick myself in the head for paying such a high premium on alot of my authentic bags. Thank God I never purchased an authentic LV. In fact, I don't have a single LV purse (I gave my cousin the one I bought in Singapore last year).... but looking at LovedbyChanel's pics makes me want one! (You really can rock a bag, btw!!)

Babybluestar convinced me to get a Chanel 1112 in Black Caviar--- so that's one down. I want to purchase 5 things so I get the free shipping. Anyone have any suggestions? The LV Sistina GM seems nice, as does the Monogram Vernis ZIPPY WALLET......

I actually wanted to point out in my comparision pic that the authentic Bal galet city is a little lighter and beiger than my gray rh wk.
Craftsmanship and detail wise and leather wise it stood up to the auth, but the color of mine is grayer and a tad darker (which makes me happy as it is more of what I wanted, to look like a gray 04/05/06 ) Coco and I were wondering if another bag that looked like mine from another seller looked like galet, that was the reason for the comparision shot.
the owner of the galet said to me today "OH we have the same bag"...look, mine is smaller tho" so she thought it was the same color, But I guess this thread has made me the wiser! So I guess it could pass for a galet to an uneducated Bal expert. Always good to know that it could be a older this or a dirtier that...if you know what I mean

Coco- What are the chances...I just came in from a shoot and there were 3 bals in the room, here is an authentic galet city compared to my gray 06..pic by me!
These ladies knew there B bags and were all very excited by mine as well, someone had a granny and a sang..and a valentino bag that had distressed flowers in brown leather on the front..awesome bag..kinda like mad max meets a bunch of flowers!

bagalicious: It seems like I need the lighter gray for Galet. The other one in the photo I sent to you was a lighter gray. Would you say that the lighter gray was like the galet you saw today.

The galet i saw IRL today was defintley more gray than beige and a little lighter, so it is possible it would be a good match to the lighter gray you showed me.
i have looked thru a lot of pics of galet and I notice that some look quite gray, and some look more beigey, so i think there is a window if it goes either way...you know what i mean?
the variances in the "auth galet shade" are quite varied, so i think it's defintley going to match one of them.
I say go for it Coco...You know you want it!!!!!

I was referring to the jumbo lambskin black flap from Catty that everyone thought was dead on to the authentic a few pages back.

I have a black Maxi from Jacky and I don't know if it's the size or shape of the flap, but it looks best when I hold it in my hand by the chain because whenever I wear it on my shoulder it gets really flat and looks really fake.

That's why I've switched to Balenciaga from Chanel, because it's 99.9% perfect in my opinion and I can wear it anywhere and be confident with my bbags but just like sanitizedfashion, I'm on the hunt for the best Chanel rep.

Sooooooo I finally received one of my bags
I did a joint order with a friend && we have been having the worst luck with our packages We just received one of our packages that had our two alma mm's. We received our alma's in a week which is the norm but customs opened the package && we had to pay duty fee's.angry: && Our second package that has my Galliera GM in it has been in customs for 3days now Im freak'n out because I pray that we get that package and just have to pay duties on it rather than it get seized keep your fingers crossed for me... && my Sapphire GSH We && my Violet GSH city have shipped today I should have them next week some time.. Im sooooooo in Love with this bag its the perfect size!!!!! I wanted the GM but talked myself out of it && im happy I did. Im going to get another one but a different color but I dont know which color yet. Well here are pictures of my new baby hehehehehe.. I've had a long day and you can tell in the modeling picture LoL... The first two are outside and the second two are a full body shoot and a close up half body shot.

I have some auth Bbags and I can honestly say that T&D are the closest I have ever seen! Just some minor stitching details, the bales aren't exactly perfect and the gold tone of the GGH is a lil' off but other than that, it's a pretty damn good copy! NBF are the reason why I haven't bought an auth Balenciaga in a long while! LOL

You can, but only if you take a closer look, not when sb just walks by you carrying it, for example. You'd have to take it and check out the details which are SLIGHTLY different. That said, I think less then 1% would know what to look for, so there's no reason to worry

bagalicious, gorgeous bags, I love them, but Outremer is my favourite, it's new and fresh, I like it a lot!

lucy92 and bagalicious, thank you for your suggestions, as I was saying, the metal plate is not a problem because they aren't familiar with Balenciaga, but ordering a rep Chanel or LV would be impossible. Luckily, I don't order those brands.

sorry for all these questions, I just want to know what the differences are with my T&D bag vs the real authentic one.

T&D said that they got some new european sewing machine for the new batches.... does anyone know if that made a difference in the stitching.

Is the giant hardware the same size as the real ones?

Hello, I think if you read the past and present threads and looked at all the rave reviews and pictures you would see that T&D have the best Bbag reps out there.
I thought by your comment about the envelope clutch yesterday you had seen one to compare it to? i must have misunderstood your post, if you have never seen an authentic Balenciaga why would you think that the EC was off? just curious
My friend has both an auth and a T&D EC + FC and she says there pretty spot on.
A few of us here have authentic Bals and T&D bags and keep coming back for more.

You really can't get a better rep of a Bbag than T&D.
the detailing, craftsmanship and leather is pretty much spot on, there are a couple of "differences" but only when you compare it side by side to an authentic would you be able to tell (and thats only if you knew what to look for)
So don't hesitate to get a T&D bag at all.

I've never seen one in real life. I've seen a picture of it online. Everytime I compare T&D's bag to the EC real ones online... they never seem structured to me.

I have 1 t&D bag and ordered some more. I've been carrying the black GGH city one I have like it's the real deal....
But I didn't know if I was only fooling myself... if it REALLY stands out like a fake to everyone else.

I'm glad to see that it's very VERY close to the real one.
I guess I'll carry it on like I've been... and flaunt it like it's real! =)
