BBS you're giving yourself too much credit. i was just pointing out the flaws on nbf bags! that's it, nothing else.
i was just seriously over the misconception of people saying their (nbf) bags were perfect and the boys could do nothing wrong. I'm just here to talk about bags and get the truth out there about quality and wear. that's what this thread is about. I really couldn't care less about anything else.
T&D's quality has gone downhill and the prices has increased and for one, that just bugs me. I love their bags , but it seems to be a lottery lately. I also have a grey city that is super short, from their faulty batch last year. I think it's about 5 inches shorter than what the city is supposed to be.

mcbutterfly: The turq should be ready in early Feb. T&D said the factory closed early for the huge holiday there (Chinese New Year). Turq is the next color to be finished and shipped out though!!

baby_yorkie: I asked T&D about the PT handles and they said they've now been corrected.... Here's hoping!

As for oiling LV cowhide leather....I know a lot of people use baby oil, but baby oil is drying so I prefer vegetable glycerine (I get it at a healthfood store and use it as a body moisturizer). It works right away and I put the bag in the sun to dry.

Just to be clear, I AM returning the vert gazon city, I'm not getting it repaired. That's what I agreed on with T&D right away.

They asked me to send it back and offered me a full refund right away. I asked them if it was ok to send me a good vert gazon city first, and if I could return the faulty one after recieving a good one. They agreed with that solution.

It turned out though that all the vert gazon cities they have in stock now won't make it through their quality check, and we agreed on sending me an electric blue city as a replacement.

Yesterday they gave me the trackingnr (it's not working yet), so now I'm waiting for that bag. When I recieve it and everything is ok I will send the faulty vert green back to T&D.

The only thing is that I won't be paying for the shippingcosts to get it back to them, so they somehow have to send me the funds for shipping.

And about the zipper on the vert gazon, when I recieved the bag, the zipper was already just as messed up as in the picture. It wasn't even a case of opening/closing it and then have the zipper break down, it was already broken.

the point here is that no one should have to take a bag to a shoe repair immediately after receiving it, after paying WELL over $200 for it. period. this is not an argument, it is simply fact. NO ONE should have to do this.

so i'm guessing that no one ever did the vintage chanel jumbo that nicole has, since it is vintage...
jacky will usually only do a bag if he can buy one...
i asked him a while back about doing the chanel olsen tote (out in 2002), but he said no...

LOVE the olsen tote...I still sees those on resell online shops and ebay sometimes...turquoise is stunning

Ooooh!!!! cloudyblue I want to see how the patina looks on yours!!! I got mine to a nice very, very light honey color and used the Apple Garde on it so now it won't darken past this color for a while. I highly highly recommend the Apple Garde (aka Rain Spray) for ALL the cowhide leather. It can make the difference between a bag being ruined by stains or staying nearly pristine!!

PinUpGirl: The EB color is SO gorgeous!! My friend has the Work and it's just stunning. I hope you'll love it!! T&D can reimburse you the shippings costs with Paypal...it should be easy. I'm sorry your bag was such a mess.
Glad they're getting on top of QC and being reasonable with amending situations.

Just got my EB day and the color is absolutely GORGEOUS!!! I am so so so pleased with the color and the leather looks so much better than the black work I got from them. It feels very pliable and smooshy. However there are some stains on the back that go halfway up the bag. It's much more noticeable in person..

holy moly!!! i can't wait for my EB Work. Love the color, the stains wouldn't even bug me that much....because i know i'd probably have stains on it within a week.....makes the bag look "loved"
