Thanks so much, Aby and Grill!
Sorry I didn't catch Grill's earlier mention of International shipping

Meg - how funny; I PMed pucci the same pair of cargos. Great minds think alike ^_^

Thanks to both of you!

Meg: I barely have anything in the bust department so I can really wear any top I like...:flower:

It's great we can be on the lookout for eachother! ;)

Those look really great If only I had JCrew here in London, I really want them to be perfectly loose. Hmm

haha, yes I was talking about myself! Of course it's going to look great on you  If you are in London (how could I forget!) my other suggestion would be to go to Abercrombie and Fitch. This is right up their alley

Thanks Meg only shame Abercrombie and Fitch is not up my alley...at all, I have never stepped foot in that store.:innocent:

jumelle has some pretty colorful pieces.

i havent seen the salmon colored crewneck t picked up by anyone else and the rasberry top is a lovely color if your coloring can pull if off. nice shape too. the cream dress would be pretty for a summer frock for someone with skinny arms.

^ Thanks, I always forget about Jumelle. I really like that salmon pink t-shirt.

I am looking for the lighter colored flowered dress that Michelle Williams was recently spotted wearing. I know this is probably a pipe dream, since it seems that most stores have sold out of it, do you guys have any leads? Thanks! It's for a wedding that's coming up soon!

I just wanted to add some information to the thread:

The best Isabel Marant selection in Tokyo (at least that I found) can be seen at at Journal Standard Luxe in Shinjuku

3-17-20 Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo
03-5367-1040
[opening hours] 11:00-20:00

This is like a store-in-store: the entire top floor of the Journal Standard Luxe is dedicated to Isabel (drool!) I was there in October (be back next month) and found they had an excellent representation of the current collection, including footwear and accessories. Of course it is a bit more expensive there, being a EU brand.

IM can also be found at Barney's Tokyo (also in Shinjuku) but I found the merchandising and overall selection to be lacking.

Just a little informational tidbit if you happen to be in Tokyo sometime ;)

Steph, maybe you can find this dress for me in Japan!

I have searched far and wide, no luck.

However, I did get a zip file from Mick Margo that has a few things that I didn't see in other stores: jewelry, a leather jacket and some skirts. If anyone is interested, pm me.

I also stumbled upon this website:
http://www.maryamnassirzadeh.com/IM.html

The search for this dress has made me a little less supportive of Isabel Marant's anti e-commerce stance. I think it's brilliant marketing, but, when you really want a piece, it's like the search for the holy grail online. I also get the feeling that the SA's might tire of giving info out about things... :ninja:
and recently fashionologie published about this exact thing (citing TFS )

Thanks for posting the link Juliet.

I always love her coats, like that 'Cassy' coat..if only she didn't make them so terribly oversized!

I found the dress!! I will, now, stop hogging this thread ^_^

Lucky, thanks for providing me the link to worthwhile.
They were out, but I found the dress at a boutique in Portland called Odessa. The SA was absolutely helpful, and the shipping was cheap! They also know what they are getting for fall if anyone is interested. PM me.

Fall looks fantastic. There are cool blazers and even cooler tees. I think IM is back on track... BUT, here's to hoping I'm not too broke, and have infinite patience to search this stuff out...

thanks again!!

A question for the London-based IM fans: where would I find the best selection of Étoile?

i bought the lenny top from aime....in pale blue with long sleeves (slightly baloon) - I also got two vests to wear underneath - gossamer light extra long vests for men from american apparel...one in white and one navy....

haha...
the vest vs. tank top discussion came up recently...
at the team i was working on had a brit on it who kept confusing everyone else with all his talk of jumpers and vests...as opposed to sweaters and tank tops...

i thought of you helena...and how we sorted all that out here at tFS once upon a time, many moons ago...
and i was able to translate for everyone and get us all on the same page...
funny...right?...
^_^

***sorry for the off topic by the way*...

here is a pic of some IM to keep it on track....shades of grey
top i purchased last summer w/luckyme...
cropped pants i got 2-3 seasons ago
worn with a vest that i made and my chie mihara sandals

Hi Helena, whats the sizing like? I am a US 6/8 in tops depending. do you think a 2 would fit?

charps...hmmm - it really depends on how you like to wear things I think. I like them quite loose and the top is really meant to be worn loose like IM clothes generally....I bought the size 1 and I am a UK size 8....(US size 4). SO a Size 2 would probably be fine for you but if you like to wear things loose I'd get a Size 3....- because, although the Size 1 is fine for me...I would also have been ok with a size 2.
