Hmmm they did a quick look and said there was nothing matching my description. I told them it was pale blue top/tunic with an embroidered panel on the front. That's annoying isn't it? I'm not sure that the staff in liberty are very good esp compared to say dover st Market.

Dover Street Market staff are much nicer in my opinion. Although I like the one's at Liberty because they totally ignore you. Most of the times you pick up stuff, try it and leave it there without talking at all to a shop assistant
I think it's quite mean on their part to say that they did not have it, sometimes they take it off the racks and put it in the storage, but they clearly didn't bothered checking it out. They had at least 3 the day you called.

well I have emailed a pic of it to Aime on Ledbury road to see if they have it....I'll find it somewhere. Thanks!

go helena, a pregnant women on a mission...i have no doubt that you'll find it. :flower:

i find that isabel's clothes neatly blend with pretty much everything i have...i often find that i use her tops as the starting block and build the outfit from there.

today i wore:
this top (creaturesofcomfort.com) with a ss black tee under it.
dark grey skinny jeans
warm grey owens suede ankle boots (yoox.com)
and a big black felted wool shawl

gorgeous!

Helena - I'm sure the staff at Aime will be able to help. They are very friendly, and when I was last there, they stocked a lot of IM and Etoile.

love the top luckyme...its cool...i am always attracted to things with frilly shoulders...

Fantastic dress, Aby - and top, Luckyme.....the detailing is gorgeous!!
I wanted that same dress/tunic, Aby - but waited too long, and now it's sold out at Satine :( Maybe I'll have to look some more.....
Would love to see how you style it.

ooh no, the "Zand" boot i ordered all the way from Aime in London in size 40 is too small ... just to let anybody know who is thinking of ordering. very small sizing in this style!

Sorry...credit is creatures of comfort. I went into the store to take look for you. It's a very sheer Indian cotton voile. You will definitely need to wear something underneath. And I think it will only look good on you if you are flat chested. Hope this helps.

I tried on the Aby dress - raw silk with macrame detailing at Le Bon Marche where they have it in all 3 colours - cream, blue and black. It's beautiful and well priced but the holey front panel made it a no go for me. Interestingly enough when I explained this to the SA she said that I wasn't the only person to have said that the openess of the front panel was a problem.

charps - I'm sorry to hear that your boots were too small. IM's shoe sizing is tricky and runs notoriously petite like 1 to 1.5 sizes small. If you are still looking for the 41 - Printemps Hausmann and Le Bon Marche do a good selection of IM boots. I know your in Oz but Printemps will ship internationally through the personal shopping department on the 2nd floor.

Hmmm Grill you have given me an idea.....merci beaucoup pour ca.....

Ah Helena, i've been to Liberty again and they still have the dresses, now they have it in white also. I would call them again and say you saw them there.

thanks Grill, thats great to know. i am getting Aime to send the 41. They only have in black, but at least i dont loose my money! I will definitely be looking for a 41 in either the taupe suede or cognac colour as well though so will ring Printemps ... thats great they ship internationally ... i imagine they also have good sales too!? :)

Funny I tried the dress last week at Le Bon Marché and was about to get it but the SA was monopolized by a showy and needy client so I left and finally bought it at the Printemps.

pucci mama - I am geographically as well as physically limited at the moment - I live in the north of scotland ...and I am 3 days overdue waiting for a baby...:woot:

actually IM clothes have been fantastic whilst in my sartorially challenged state. I have worn so many of them all the way through....

Aww...congrats! :flower:

I can imagine IM clothes looking really good on a pregnant belly, I just love the loose/cool of her clothes. In fact I saw quite a few pregnat women in Paris in that style... really such a good look.B)

I just bought this top, blouses like this are always a staple in my wardrobe..

Thanks Aby^_^

I would love to get a cargo like pair of trousers to team them with for summer, but since I am so petite I have no idea where to look!

Beautiful blouse, pucci!
Aby and Grill - do you know if Le Bon Marché or Printemps ship internationally? I love the dress, but I have only found it in the shorter top in the US :(

Here's what Grill said earlier:

The 2nd floor is also where the Isabel Marant main line corner's located. Here's the Printemps PS phone number 00 33 1.42.82.66.11.

Good luck!

^ I know Printemps does. I haven't needed to try it though but asked when we were considering moving to the States. They ship through their Personal Shopping department which is on the second floor along with all the high end designer wear and Isabel Marant's mainline collection. For your info. IM Printemps only bought the dress in the blanc casse and black, not blue.

pucci - gorgeous blouse! I also love blouses like that, Philip Lim had a similar beautiful drape-y blouse like that this season. I'd just be nervous about it working with my bust. Anyway I would suggest Gap or Old Navy for rolled cargo's. I don't know if you are in the states or not, but they have a lot of cargo-style pants there and they carry 29/30" inseam in certain pants. Alternatively, J.Crew has these which are quite cute, and in petite (30" inseam).
