grill, the linen jacket sounds lovely in dark blue.
my report for the lurex skirt and jacket are stay far away from lurex this season...edited to read [for my taste] they were horrible with a capital T for tacky. i'm like a kid and had to see for myself though.

Les Sucettes - that dress is very pretty - not at all hookerish! - My dad's a photographer and we often go to gallery openings here in London and here people tend to dress down rather than up or look a bit effortless at things like that. Slouchy boots in a neutral suede and minus chains! would look great or black opaque tights with black ballet flats would look chic and be less exposed than bare legs.

I went to Paris on a whirlwind visit yesterday and bought the bejewelled linen stripe jacket in dark blue. Totally unexpected purchase - I saw it, tried it on and loved it immediately. I was a bit frightened by the shoulders at first but as they are narrow they weren't too in your face. It looks very pretty on its hanger on a hook on my dressing room wall - it looks very much like a work of art...I plan to wear it simply with faded jeans and casual tops much as I would a Chanel jacket.

That jacket is incredibly beautiful. Congrats.:flower: Pity is so expensive for me.

Well it's true, I work on a gallery,so besides the fact that i do go to a lot of other galleries openings we also give private views every month, and i usually wear Marant's casual pieces and i never felt underdress. But this opening I'm referring to, is our Spring Show and we are going to have people from embassies and Royal Academicians, so besides the fact i do not want to look hookerish and i also do not want to look like i didn't bother.

Is it possible to call the new store in New York? I have done what i think is a thorough online search for the phone number, but just couldn't find it. anyone visit the new store yet?

how's the sizing on the jackets? do they teng to run small, or....?

IM is a french label and sizing definitely varies piece to piece. I tend to find the jackets are cut slightly smaller in the shoulder than other labels. In IM tops and dresses without sleeves I'll take the 0 but when shoulders are involved I take size 1. But this is personal as while I am small I have very square shoulders....

Let us know what you purchase....

thanks! a friend of mine just bought THE jacket for me in paris, will post pictures when i get it.

^oh thank you in advance!!!i'm really curious to see and to know how the jacket fits and looks like :D

any reports from the new soho store? i have seen pics and i love the interior. that raw wood is so perfect and beautiful ...

I just got this dress. So happy.^_^
I already own a dress made with the same print so I better alternate them so I'm not wearing the same dress all the time.

Hey, I just went down to the store on Friday... was a very nice store, quite big, and quite busy... in terms of inventory, they seemed like they had pretty much everything from the spring collection- from boots, jewelry, clothing (mainline and etoile) but i'm not sure about what they had left in terms of sizing. They are selling quite a bit though-- while I was there, a couple of women walked out with quite a few bags.

Sorry I can't be more specific, but if you are looking for something in particular, I'll try to recall.

Bossbloss that dress is lovely, I have the tunic style in that print (raquel) and tried on that dress in black but figured I have loads of black sundresses. I would deff have got that if I'd seen it!

Thanks. I'm trying not to get too overboard with this print as I already own a couple of pieces with the same pattern but could not resist this cute dress.
It's great the weather is getting better and we can now all finally wear the spring summer stuff.

deango, thanks for the video. Shame that reporter talks too much and it doesn't let Isabel talk. Other than that it's great news NY has its own Isabel Marant shop. I wonder when London will be blessed with one as there is a large fan base over here too.

Last February IS opened her first boutique here in Spain, in Madrid.

The shop isn't big but is very nice.

Hi could anyone please let me know which websites (except n-a-p ,mytheresa, satine) stock isabel marant?
