Nope, i didn't get it. The color is too close to my Chloe one, and I am rigorously exercising my powers of self control...

I really would like to have the navy, but I definitely want the wool version.

I think it's wool. Coc only had one left, and the SA told me that it was a wool-like material... However, ordering isabel marant is quite the confusing thing; I have yet to hear back if they have charged my card yet and I am worried that I won't get the discount because it hasn't been charged yet.. \ In the past creatures of comfort has been fairly accommodating. Let's just hope I can get the skirt at some point!

Seriously, the isabel marant stuff needs to be made available online. Having pdfs and calling stores is kind of fun (?) but mostly just annoying .

^ In my experience, CoC is kind of lackadaisical about credit card charges and returns, but they're good with accommodating sales and promotions. So you probably don't have to worry.

I agree with you--I really wish that it would just be available online. This PDF business is a hassle!

Yes, it doesn't make sense to me either--between the runway pics, the random site pics, and the closeups that most stores email out if asked, it all seems kind of silly!

Maybe this measure is more an exclusivity thing, rather than an actual deterrent to potential knock-offs . . .

In related news, H&M has already knocked off this dress from S/S 08. It's a hideous copy--the print is pretty much identical, but done in uber-cheap and chintzy cotton.

Though, I have to admit, I bought an Isabel Marant reminiscent denim shift dress from H&M about a year ago that was of decent quality.

on a happier note, I just received the package from Impulse. Smiles from ear to ear.

the cashmere vest by Crispin & Basilio is really something special. I don't know if you can see but it is two layers, both button up and the back ties. the dark grey linen EIM top is just how they styled it so I'm thrilled I bought the set. thank you all for enlightening me to this gem of a store.

It's exquisite, but a bit much for me--if it was black, or if it was a shorter necklace, I would be tempted. I have simpler, more sculptural tastes when it comes to jewelry.

Someone should buy it though--it's so pretty!

So here is the skirt and boots...sorry for a not-so creative outfit... I was going to pair the skirt with colored tights(maroon) or (grey) but it was 8 degrees last night and the black tights are my only merino wool ones.


I feel silly posting this in a thread with so much good taste


Any other ideas? I like the idea of the skirt with an oxford type shirt or plaid.

juliet - the silhouette you've created here is totally adorable! you guys are seriously making me want a shorter skirt now. i think any kind of top or jacket with a boxy cut would be cute! and grey tights would be so nice, maroon too but that would require a bit more thought. i'm having a hard time imagining an oxford shirt, but maybe it would work with a vest? anyway, thanks so much for sharing!
