^You're welcome Lucky! :flower:

The new collection is slowly getting in stores and I spotted some nice items both from Etoile and the main line.

I've had my eyes on this sheepskin jacket so I tried it on today and took some modeling pics! :p

It looks really nice Aby ! (Is it affordable ?)

In the Kate Moss thread I found a bolero in rabit fur (that Kate had modelled for Vogue in fall/winter 04/05).I have it in black :woot:
Here is the pic :

Thanks Lucky, Les_Sucettes and Marlowe Tiger!

That bolero is pretty cute. I remember the collection it was from and I craved that little rabbit jacket which looked like the Marc Jacobs one...

Btw, the sheepskin jacket is expensive (at least for me) 825 euros.

That's very expensive.

Geraldine Saglio already wearing the new collection, she looks gorgeous, Just love it.

ohh, I have that, but it in tunic style. its a great piece...supposedly fall will start arriving next week in US stores. yipppeeeeeee

i really dont get the hype about those sandals though? what gives.

julianne looks amazing! that shot of red hair does wonders for the dress..

i'm with you on the sandals though luckyme.. if they werent so orthopedic looking they'd be fine....^_^

Hum, yeah, to each its taste, but I agree with you about those shoes.

Thanks for the article Aby!
I've always loved her clothes but now I love her too!!!

She wears that dress well. I tried it on in blue today and it looked like a tent on me. If anyone wants it in blue size 1 (I think) it was $250CAD-ish and the top version in size 1 $130CAD from jonathan+olivia in vancouver.

Has anyone ordered from an actual Isabel Marant store over the phone? There is a pair of black suede boots I've been trying to track down from her fall collection, but so far everybody has ordered them in the brown suede or black leather.

ie- the top in a size zero is really really big..
but the bottom in a 1 is really really small...
and some of the other tops i tried on in europe were ENORMOUS...
and completely unwearable in my opinion...
:ninja:...
Can anybody convert Marant's size 1 into EU size(34,36,38,...)?

Not sure if this helps, but I've found the Isabel Marant Etoile line to run consistently with the Vanessa Bruno athe line both of which are sized 1, 2, 3. I have things from both in a 2 and I wear a US 6 or 8.

I'm US 6 or 8 too (according to Wikipedia:lol:). So I guess Marant's size 1 is too small for me. I've found a really nice skirt and it's just in size 1.

^ same here. I'm usually a 2 in both Etoile and the mainline for Isabel Marant but for the roomier looks like the tunic shown above I took a 1.

bad news about these celebs wearing the stuff...

it only means that all the celebre-wannabes will be copying and buying IM...
so it will be even harder to get my hands on the stuff...
probably also means that the prices will climb higher because these chicks can afford it...
while the rest of us get nothing...:ermm:...

hmmm...looks like it's time to look for another little unknown french brand to worship...
:p

Teja, is the skirt fitted or roomy? Some of the cuts are so roomy you could probably size down.
Here's the skirt:unsure::

What do you think? I'm planning to lose some weight cause I have prom dance this year, but I don't know. Too risky?

This is true, unfortunately, but I don't think it would dissuade me from liking Isabel Marant or buying more pieces. It might taint my perception a bit, but only based on the certain piece that the celebrity was seen wearing- like the keiffah-style dress and top. I was already unsure of that print because of its popularity, and then once I saw it on celebs it kind of ruined it even more. But that's just that one specific print, and not the Isabel Marant brand altogether.

In my city IM is still a bit under the radar, but I guess living in LA or New York if I saw every other celebu-wannabe wearing IM it might put me off. I would think perhaps the French might be more put off that 'north american's' are popularizing the brand- I'm not sure. Though I don't know Isabel Marant herself would mind, because in that interview with her she said she wanted to expand more into North America and become more popular there.

Anyway, I agree with you that it kind of stinks to see celebs wearing it, but it won't make me not like the brand.

I tried on a very similar skirt and found it to fit really big. I usually buy a size 1 in IM and Vanessa Bruno, but that skirt I would definitely need a 0....
