yeh, yeh I know....it took me all my efforts to send you the pic I sent you today.....well actually it was taken on johnny's phone and emailed to me and then sent to people....I am so ****....

the lenny top is cutesville. need to work out what to wear on the bottom....thinking trousers of some sort.

charps...hmmm - it really depends on how you like to wear things I think. I like them quite loose and the top is really meant to be worn loose like IM clothes generally....I bought the size 1 and I am a UK size 8....(US size 4). SO a Size 2 would probably be fine for you but if you like to wear things loose I'd get a Size 3....- because, although the Size 1 is fine for me...I would also have been ok with a size 2.

thanks helena, thats good advice i think ... i always prefer to wear IM oversized so safer to go the 3 ... though weirdly in her jackets i am always LOTS smaller, like a 1 ...

^ I have those! So does juliet3353. I got mine from Satine, but they sold out almost immediately. Juliet purchased her pair from Creatures of Comfort-- not sure if they're still available. The only other place I remember seeing them is Maryam Nassir Zadeh. You could contact them to see if they have the pants in stock.

Does anyone else think IM prices are getting out of control. I was going to order the fw09 black thigh high boots from Diani till I saw the price.

Junee (over-the-knee boot/black suede) - $1,400.00
Otway (studded ankle bootie/black leather) - $1,375.00

Weren't the boots from last fall like $800?
Its so disapointing, I'm really in love with those boots but that price is just ridiculous.

Well the S/S 09 boots with the chains wrapped around them were in the same price range. Personally, what I find ridiculous is that the Junee and Otway boots are within $25 of each other. I don't think the Junees are that overpriced, considering most designer thigh-high boots cost well over 1k. Perhaps I am just telling myself this since I'm actually thinking about buying them.

But doesn't IM usually have lower price points than really well know designers? I was looking in the new harpers and there was a pair of thigh high roberto cavalli boots that were less than $1300, since when is IM more than cavalli, etc.

^ True, Isabel Marant does tend to have lower prices than other high-end labels. It's surprising that a pair of Cavallis are less than hers. The price increase must be due to all the hype IM has been receiving for the past few seasons (which may stem from Alt's position as stylist for the runway shows/campaigns). It definitely isn't the same brand it used to be.

Yikes - yes thats mental! The footwear has always been quite expensive - but never that much.

There is definately some interesting brand positioning going on with IM just now....

I just hope the hype dies down.....although there is a lot of PR in the UK press at the moment.....

Ugh, I was hoping those thigh-high suede boots would be under $1000 since they're IM.

I'm thinking it might be worth it since they're the style and fit I want. Does anyone know whether or not they're available online for pre-order? I'm moving to France in about 2 months, so perhaps it would be more practical to buy them there.

^ Yes, you can pre-order the boots from Diani, however, you need to email/phone them. I am still trying to decide if I should buy them or not.

I wonder if others were put-off by the price of the studded ankle boots. There were a few people ahead of me on the wait list, but now they are available. Definitely won't be getting those, though.. I like the thigh highs better, and I would get more use out of them.
