^^As much as I love Isabel Marant, I don't wear fur. Especially not rabbit fur because I have to bunnies at home. It's lovely hat, but I would prefer faux fur.

erm... I'm not as interested in IM anymore, I find the new collections quite tacky tbh, but what' in stores is always different so I'll reserve my judgement until I see it in store, not that I will be rushing there...

I have to agree, unfortunately. IM used to be one of my favorite labels, but I find myself becoming less enthused with it as each season progresses. Crotch-grazing skirts, fringed camouflage boots, hot pink feather earrings... doesn't exactly exude the effortless Parisian vibe Marant's collections once possessed.

That said, she does still manage to produce some nice stuff. Diani and Satine have just sent out emails containing the S/S 10 pieces they ordered. While most of it is underwhelming and overpriced, a couple items have caught my eye. I can post pictures if anyone is interested.

i can understand the price going a little up because she's had much attention this winter,it was like the "it brand" so i expected it, but 800$ for a simple cotton dress or even for a top are just a little insane...esepcially because the style of some of those dresses can be found also in the Etoile line, for the half price so...but there is definitely the hand of emmanuelle alt behind this, they're definitely trying to repositioning the brand into an upper level, and increasing the price is the easiest way to do it..

This is all a bit silly. The prices have been hiking up lately but the quality of the clothes stays the same, her clothes are not worth what she's asking for. Half my wardrobe is from Isabel Marant and I buy her because I like her designs, the details that everyone that copies her seem to miss, and the materials, but I would not consider her clothes outstandingly made, they are fine but not excellent. If you ask that amount of money for your designs you need to step up in the craftsmanship of the clothes. The last dress I bought from Isabel Marant I had to sow the label because it was loose and cut some threads. How can she justify those prices?

^completely agree with you! for example i also don't know how Balmain is going to justify a green shirt full holes with a 945 euros tag..so i guess that all that hype about the brand for them is enough to increase the prices..

but the IM pieces in my closet remain some of my most beloved items...
i wore my navy mini for x-mas and again on New Year's eve...
maybe i'll like the next collection better...?

Some new Etoile stuff is already at Liberty and me I'm debating with myself if if I can justify buying the most ridiculous overpriced jogging shorts in the world without dying of shame if someone asks me the price. (already thinking of a price lie that will be mother-friendly).
