. I think it's over-produced.
over produced? i was watching the videos and they were talking about not perfecting the sounds and doing the whole song together versus piecing it together. when i think over produced i think synthesizers, autotune and looping choruses.

First impressions, I'm not at all excited with the new album. Some songs are interesting but in general everything sounds horribly like U2.
Actually the guy at the record store tried to stop me from buying the album, he was appalled at how bad it was, he kept asking me if i was sure i wanted to spend money on this c**p. Apparently all the staff heard it last night and decide they would not play it in store.
I'm starting to think that maybe i should have listened to it before buying.
All these reviews that this album is over-produced and that it is basically a pop album makes me sad...and I hate to hear that they sound like U2 (one of the worst bands in history!!!!)
I don´t have the money to buy this album so I have to wate hearing it...

you havent even heard the album yet jenna maria. i can guarantee you its not an alcoholic album. personally i dont like reading reviews before my first listen because then i dont have all these adjectives im trying to identify while listening.
we can all agree its not another only by the night. everyone would have been criticizing them for that. instead they chose to move forward musically which is commendable. but then people say its commercial and if it wasn't people would call it blah.
i dont want to keep defending it so to each their own. im hearing what im hearing and i like it.

perezhiltonBATTLE OF THE HIPSTERS! KINGS OF LEON SLAMS ARCADE FIRE!
We're surprised that he had the gall to say this.
Kings of Leon drummer Nathan Followill recently took a cheap dig at the AMAZING band Arcade Fire in an interview when he essentially called them
famewhores!
He said:“Now it's cool to have 14 people in your band doing everything but contributing musically, running around with a helmet on your head, hitting it with a drumstick. You gotta look at what you're in this for: the love of music? The fame? You can have all that if you're smart and play your cards right and don't become a dick."Apparently, he's referencing something that bandmember Richard Parry has done in various performances.
We think that this is a pretty unjustified blow, especially considering that Arcade Fire has consistently put out three unbelievable albums and seem completely committed to their music as well as their listeners. Kings of Leon, on the other hand, have disrespected their fans by complaining about their mainstream popularity while simultaneously displaying diva behavior during gigs.
Inneresting, no?
