It's a very nice collection. I was speaking to Maria Luisa in Paris 2 days b4 the show. 'N both of us didn't think there was any sparkling magic in his first defile. However, after the 2nd show was exposed, I recheck 'n recheck his 2 collections, 'n digested it. I'd say, he's one of the important new force in waiting. I love every single piece in the show... I look forward to the opening of Harvey Nichols HK, and will definitely check him out!

there was a nice interview of him in this months GQ. he gave a little explanation of all the hats, umbrellas and white sneaks too.

Thanks!

the colar-tie idea....think hedi tried that for Dior FW2005 collection. well great mind think alike!!

i saw his collection...he definitely shows potential, but i don't think that this collection was quite complete. it looked a bit unfinished, with ideas expressed not very clearly/strongly. some items were good (espadrilles), but some used ideas that are not very new. but i like the direction he is going into though...

so is he going to be the new 'golden boy' of menswear?...

...

Dunno, to me the details are a bit too giddy. His collection looks like an odd mix of Dries, Hedi and CCP(on his day off)...Too many things going on

I have to say I preferred last season's over this one. It's nice and I like the quiet romanticism of it all, but the cropped pants (shorts? culottes? guachos?) are not really doing it for me. And espadrilles? No.

I do appreciate that his clothes are unambiguously masculine without resorting to tired archetypes of male virility and sexuality. I find looking at most men's fashion is somewhat similar to watching a repackaged Village People. Like, there's the rocker, the playboy, the brooding goth, the buisness man, maybe some military in there somewhere. It's like being at a gay bar. But Kris' clothes aren't like that at all for me. And I love the way he cuts dress pants. How low they are without being tight and like faust said, there's volume that's not sloppy.

haha...i love the village people analogy bart...
very funny...^_^...

No. Looking back at it, this is crap. I don't know what I was thinking with my original reply...

I do like to espadrilles. I saw some at Emporio Armani but I much prefer these. Who in the states carries Kris VanAssche?
