It's amazing. been on repeat since this morning. fav tracks: Hair, Government Hooker (much more toned down than Mugler show - which i love), Scheibe (same thing), Heavy Metal Lover, Bad Kids, Americano, and Electric Chapel! The tracks she didn't release prior are so much better than Judas.

I also grabbed the leak this afternoon, this is my third listen now.
I agree with Mathewthew, it's not 'album of the decade' that's just ego-tripping.
But I think her fans will love how FIERCE! she is. She stomped all over this for them!

The downside is that every song sounds like a homage to
another artist or genre in general (even Country) and I bet some
critics will nit-pick every 'rip-off' and affectation, which spoils
the individuality the album was supposed to affirm.

I can't believe I'm gonna saying this. it's soo Judas Priest! but a dance version of course.

Just had my first listen of the album. I don't understand why they went with releasing two of the absolute weakest songs as the first two singles. I mean, I understand the strategy (cash in on the whole 'serious' issue with BTW and cause controversy with Judah before Easter), but they were terrible singles.

Beats-wise the album is definitely better than the first two songs suggested. Some great sounds and cute, catchy melodies. But where she loses me is on those tacky, banal, 5th grader lyrics. Seriously this has to be one of the worst written album, lyrically, ever. I hope she gets crucified (pun intended, lol) for it because if anyone other than Gaga sang those lyrics, nobody would let that go unnoticed and un-criticized.

^ thats why i can't get into "hair". i like the beat and all but the lyrics are horrible and makes me cringe. i mean:

And this is my prayer, I swear,
I'm as free as my hair.
I'm as free as my hair.
I am my hair.
I am my hair.

As free as my hair, hair, hair
:rolleyes::huh::huh:

The beat, tunes and melodies are catchy but the lyrics are just... dumb. UGH! Makes me cringes.

Must take issue with this. Judas maybe, but BTW was not a terrible single, imo. It set the tone for the entire album and carried a message, blatantly running through many of the tracks. For you, wouldn't you want her to release the best later than sooner? If it were the opposite, all you'd be saying is that the hype and commotion surrounding the album was BS because it didn't live up to the first 2 singles she released. Anyways, we all have different opinions, so I respect yours.

I am SO excited for it. I am waiting until Tuesday ( when I can buy it) to listen to it! I refuse to listen to the leaked I am tempted though...but won't

So she's having a signing in NYC, is anyone going?

^If someone does go please please take pictures!!!!

I agree that the lyrics to Hair are dumb as hell, but that damn beat still has me bobbing my head in my car. I was very upset.

I don't think the album is disappointing at all. My favorite so far is Edge of Glory (I haven't listened to every song yet). I hope with it's unexpected success that she'll give it a video.

She's performing at SNL's season finale with Justin Timberlake hosting.

^It's so funny:lol: I can't stop watching it.

laurieann gibson just confirmed that there will be a video to it!

Finally had the opportunity to give the full album a listen, and it's actually much better than the singles let on (none of which I have liked so far, although Judas is decent in places). My favorite track is probably "Bloody Mary" - has a fabulous Pet Shop Boys-vibe to it, and the sound is just amazing. "Marry the Night" and "Electric Chapel" are also absolutely terrific, and I really like the DJ White Shadow Remix of "Judas" as well.

At the same time, though, I think there are a couple of songs that are (at least in places) absolutely too similar sound-wise to be on the same album. Especially chorus-wise, I can barely tell "Hair" apart from "The Edge of Glory". But then I like neither anyway.

I don't think the album is nearly as amazing as it's being touted as, but it's still got some undeniable gems on it, and as far as vocal talent goes no one holds a candle to her right now.

Lady Gaga Google Chrome commercial that premiered during an SNL break

Not gonna lie, I teared up a little. :')

Her SNL performance and presence made this an episode favorite. REALLY great work from Gaga and JT both.

Wow, not alone there! That song is quite moving.
