Leighton Meester

I thought that Company cover was terrible, when I saw it on sale. She looked extremely pale, not her usual skintone at all, and her eyes looked odd...

I think she photographs amazingly normally!

Is Company available in the U.S.?

That interview just shows how beyond her years she is and that "real intelligence" Stephanie Savage talked about. She doesn't need to put down her peers to prop herself up. I hate to make it a Blake vs. Leighton thing since both seem like down-to-earth, level headed girls, but that's the distinction right there. Leighton's so effortless when it comes to class and articulation while the former always has to weave it in every opportunity to talk about how above Hollywood she is (though never above enough to play the PR game).

I agree,I saw it on sale this afternoon,(I dont know why but I was surprised to see her on a UK cover) and didn't think it was particularly striking at all,I didn't even buy it  but I've enjoyed just reading the interview ^_^

You hate to make it a Blake vs. Leighton thing but still you do?
I have to disagree with how you talk about Blake.

And about the covers. I don't think the pic on the Company cover is great I like the Teen Vouge cover a lot better. I actually don't think that is bad at all, just a little different.

i agree with lawaldorf actually,

it shows a maturity in the way Leighton thinks/answers questions. She was baited to say something negative about "hollywood" but instead of putting down Paris or Lindsay Lohan to prop herself up, she gave an intelligent and considered answer.

that's very admirable to me.

nothing against Blake, but she has in several interviews talked down on Paris/Britney to place herself in contrast. There's nothing wrong with that :flower: (goodness knows i'm not a fan of Paris!) but I think Leighton's approach, which is more diplomatic and considerate, makes her come across as very mature, and having a strong sense of self and values.

PS. The Company cover was originally from Nylon, where both girls looked gorgeous ^_^

Will Leighton be at the Golden Globes? Blake would be there so I'm hoping Leighton would be there as well.

What a great idea- I just may have to watch the Golden Globes now that you mention it... ^_^ The Red Carpet, anyway...

^Oh my, Leighton should be there! I'd be so pissed if only Blake was invited. Argh.

Leighton HAS to be there! ^_^ or else!....... :judge:

She and Ed have to represent GG because they are the true talents of the show!

(not to mention the prettiest and the hottest respectively)

And Leighton wins the Gold!! Blair would expect nothing less! ^_^

From WWD Lifestyle-

For celebrities, there’s perhaps no gig more plum than that of “party guest.” Just a few minutes spent posing at a step-and-repeat yields unlimited Champagne, a bag brimming with swag and, sometimes, a paycheck simply for showing up. The phenomenon might explain why, in this recession, some actresses seem to spend more time on the red carpet than on the film set. When a respected indie actress is at a launch party for a new cell phone, for example, chances are she isn’t going home empty-handed. But, hey, celebrities need cell phones, too.

And, really, who can begrudge them? Certainly not us.

In fact, we’d like to put the celebrate back in celebrity. So what if the cast of “Gossip Girl” seems like they’re competing for gold in a new version of the Celebrity Pro-Am Ironman Nightlife Decathlon? They’re spreading good cheer. Helping the economy.

Herewith, the Eye’s nominations for the year’s MVP (Most Visible Player).

THE CAST OF “GOSSIP GIRL”

The group of young hotties is thoroughly enjoying its newfound fame.
Total: 189 (combined)
Leighton Meester: 45
Chace Crawford: 34
Jessica Szohr: 33
Taylor Momsen: 22
Penn Badgley: 20
Ed Westwick: 18
Blake Lively: 17
Case of art imitating life: The Ray-Ban Remasters party.

That doesn't seem right, but I do know that a lot of her events were private parties, were for charity, and Fashion Week, of course!

nevermind,
when i got the chance i looked through and seen them.

i just bought the magazine today and wondered if they were posted ^_^
