Having seen more pictures now from other angles and closeups it's growing on me. It's unfortunate that there's such a mass of black clothed people behind her.

Her look reminds me of McQueens dominatrix/glamazonian days, and when looking at the details this might be one of her most put together looks. It's understated (perhaps too understated for the Met) but the hair, the shoes, the tight caged fit, the cuff chained clutch, it all flows nicely together.

But like I said, a bit too toned down for the MET, you really have to take a closer look to notice.

i don't like those buttons on her dress. they ruin the whole thing, but as it was stated the whole outfit is too toned down anyway for Gala and not one of my fave looks one her. she looked beautiful tho.

I think she looks fabulous at the Met the dress is the right mix of sexy, flattering and edgy, the only think that would have made it better it it was full length with a fishtail bottom. Still she looks absolutely gorgeous, amazing hair and makeup so pretty

It's sexy, edgy and chic at the same time. I really really like this dress, but it is indeed not enough for this event. This would've been the perfect event for her to go all out. The only thing I'm sure about are the shoes, pared with that dress. But the earrings, the makeup, the hair, it's all perfect together imo.

Love love love the thin flick, I like that she didn't go for the typical smokey eye.

I loved the high ponytail she wore, and her make up and skin look gorgeous. I don't like the length of the dress: should be a bit shorter, and as others have opined, I am not too keen on the buttons for some reason: seems like an odd mix of daywear (coatdress) with fetish wear.
