Loose T-Shirts

I myself am a bit chubby, but i'm pretty tall, about 5'7 or 175 cm.. I like to buy guys t-shirts in a size small or medium and they hang very nice:) I like to pair it with a pair of skinny jeans or baggy jeans with a slimmer/straight leg.. A little tip, if you like to look/feel comfortable;)

seems like a logical progression derived from the japanese aesthetic. we're about 7-10 years behind them... but hey (warning, cliche approaching), better late than never.

loose top, tight pants, killer shoes. i like it, and i think it can be worn attractively by a good percentage of the population.
Totally agree for the girls. But for the boys you have to be super thin which I dont like unless I create my own! We'll see.

Yeah! Great for the ladies! But for boys you have to kinda work it. I think if I want to wear one I would have to make my own. I'm too big...

It's annoying that such a simple item is so hard to find.

I really like loose t-shirts!
but I don't like it when it's matched with super baggy pants.

I'd love to see more pics! :P

I like 'em too and definitely prefer them over tight t-shirts :). I found a few a while ago in my mum's wardrobe that she wore back in the day and they look great with skinny jeans and vintage belt. And when it gets nippy I just throw a vintage cardigan over the top :).

I'm wearing this exact look today...loose, fluid blazer over an equally loose t-shirt over dark slim jeans. I agree, it's a very Japanese aesthetic and I like it because it doesn't look as constricting or perfectly symmetrical...nowadays i need that contrast. Right now I'm really into things that don't fit right, contrast and imperfection are really key....

i have a loose and really thin tshirt from urbanoutfitters and i LOOOOVE IT! last time i went there i saw several printed ones.. really nice.. i like those because they are soft and thin.... comfy!

I think the best loose t shirts are the vintage ones. Perfectly worn out and comfortable. Or best you OWN old t shirts. ^_^

I just buy my tees a size bigger and I cuff the sleeves.

the look is for it to be baggy on the bottom part and drape nicely on the shoulder, so by making the sleeves shorter and tighter, you will achieve the look of effortless baggy tees.

I love this loose shirt look....but the problem is I'm only 5'2"/5'3"....When I do wear loose shirts with skinny jeans, my friends laugh at me and tell me I look ridiculous....which could be because they're uber-massive fans of the well-fit look....or the fact that I do just look plain ridiculous. Do you guys think it is possible for such a vertically-challenged girl such as myself to pull this trend off while not looking utterly ridiculous?

Im sure the look fits you just fine. I'm barely 5'4 and most of my friends tend to compliment me when I wear loose tops and skinny jeans. If you feel comfortable in an outift and you love it, then you should wear it, regardless of what others say.

Thanks for the coo tip! I was actually going to cut the sleves off like they have at Marc Jacobs or Dior Homme.:p

lately i've been obsessed with v-necks that are slightly baggier.
[it all started when i accidentally grabbed my father's undershirt]

cuffing the sleeves is an excellent idea that i haven't even thought of alejandro, thanks for the great tip!

and aldn, i agree with the guys having to work it. . .it's not a look for every male, but you can do it i'm sure.
especially if you have the inspiration and motivation to attempt a look you enjoy.

Hye Park Lover, I am sure you can rock the look.... Any look can work on any body type... You just have to find the right cut/shape and fabric. :flower:

careful when you do that.... or you can destroy the initial cut entirely.... then you'll have to slim down the sleeves as well (if you want to make it all proportionnal or so it seems).... I am not good at that so I can't tell if it's something easy and doeable..... I am sure they sell pre made slimmer loose shirts no....?

thnks for the advice.... :flower: and yeaah! i found one that is very slim and super long!! i love it.. .and the sleeves arent to big either.. so its perfect... its already in a bucket with softener soap... i hope it gets very loose...!!!

^ I've always wondered how to make fabric "looser".... aside from wearing it out... ...I didn't know that water+softener soap could do the trick...
