Madonna, daughter Lourdes give fashion advice

Lourdes Leon is kicking off her new clothing line with a blog. At MaterialGirlCollection.com, which will officially launch on Aug. 3, PopEater reports (the blog doesn't appear for us) that Lourdes writes:
Helluuur thurrrr, I'm Lola and this is my first blog entry so it's kind of like ummmm.... I'm just going to use this blog entry to tell y'all a little bit about myself. I'm 13 and I'll be 14 in October, so I can't wait for that because I am FINALLY allowed to dye my hair... THANK YOU MOTHER!!
And she gives a little fashion advice, so pay attention:
OK but no joke gladiator sandals are OUT. They came out in summer 2008 and I was like, ok those are really cute. Then 2009 comes around and people are still wearing them so I'm like, ok whatever it's just a phase. BUT NOOOOO. Because good old 2010 is now coming along and people are STILL wearing them, and then I was just like OK NO! It's been three years people COME ON!!!!!!!!! I'm just like what????
Meanwhile, here are some sketches from Madonna and Lourdes' fall 2010 collection.
Madonna tells WWD of her daughter: "She's been coming to meetings pretty much from the very beginning. My role was really to make sure we were all going in the right direction and it was a line that I could stand behind and be proud of and feel good about — and one that she could also feel represented her. I really like the way Lola dresses, and I think this line is absolutely an extension of her taste."

she sounds nauseatingly stupid. or maybe she just is nauseatingly stupid. it's no wonder our generation is thought to be dumbed down by technolgy. lola is a perfect example of an annoying privileged brat with a huge ego bloated by her mother's fame. :yuk:

Give her a break, she's a young girl.
And what she said about gladiator sandals is actually true.
I remember seeing some women at the polls in Nov 2008 wearing them. But damn, people still wear them?

Lourdes is giving out fashion advice? Really? I guess she must be bored.

Clearly her brain left with her mono-brow, if gladiator sandals came out in "summer 2008" and "because good old 2010 is now coming along" how can people have been wearing them for three years?

THANK YOU MOTHER!! as long as we get to find out the Lourdes is now allowed to dye her hair my fashion life is complete.

She could be the most successful thing in the world but anytime she says something high and mighty I always think to myself "you naturally have a monobrow and moustache"

Can't wait for these 13yo almost 14 year old ramblings, capitals and exclamation marks.

Wow, she might not live up to Tavi's standards  but shes still 13..... which means she's probably still in middle school. Which means she's literally still a child. Cut her some slack... no need to be SO harsh!;)

She may be 13 but no fashion person in their right mind is going to be interested in her self indulgent blog. I don't really care how old people are they need to at least attempt spelling and grammar.

i read an interview once and i think it said Madonna doesn't let her kids watch television, so i don't think she's "dumbed" down by the media. She's only a kid so not necessary to be harsh. ever since lourdes was a baby i always imagine the material girl's daughter to have exceptional fashion taste considering all the inspiring personalities she has grown up with.

Its a blog started to promote her line for Macy's or whatever. She's not taking it that seriously and neither should you.... Anyways a 13 yo is still a child no matter who their mother is and I'm sure she'll learn more about proper grammar when she gets to high school.:innocent:

Hello there instead of 'Helluuur thurrrr' is hardly considered complex grammar.

Because at the ripe ole age at 13 she is an expert at what people should wear and trends. I don't think anyone should be surprised. I'd be more surprised if she was humble and wanted to be left alone and have some privacy.

ewww...just because you have the money to buy all the clothes you want doesn't mean you know anything about style or fashion IMO

Maybe at 14 she'll be allowed to wax?? :brows:

And I bought gladiator sandals on a trip to Amsterdam five years ago. Do I win?

I do not know about you, but in my neck of the woods at 13 years olds were suppose to use grammar correctly.

This is all a publicity ploy but I'm actually quite surprised that Madonna's carefully educated child is as much as an airhead as any other celeb kid. I think she must have been binging on MTV at her rich friend's houses...

i like how we now have the ad for this line at the top of TFS.....

living in a consumer society, all you need to be famous is cash....a famous mom....and another cookie-cutter clothing line with proper advertising
