Luminous, Glowy and Healthy Skin

I bought mine at a store that sells other household appliances, like microwaves and vacuumers etc. If we´re talking about the same thing..

I just started using the Patricia Wexler starter kit about 2 and a half weeks ago and WOW! I have noticed a big difference in my complexion. I am 31 weeks pregnant with my second child and with my first my skin was glowing; this time around I felt like I looked dull. Since using the resurfacing scrub, serum, and other cleansers and creams in the start kit my skin is glowing big time. Plus, my skin feels really balanced. There is no tightness or dryness and I was hugely surprised that the thick am cream with spf 20 doesn't leave my skin oily at all. I still get a pimple or two as usual, but less blackheads, better over all complexion and I actually enjoy all the steps....sort of meditative for me.

Combine that with my Vincent Longo highlighting powder and endless compliments about my skin have been coming my way....good thing since I am feeling so big and bloated....need every positive word I can get. :p

Just had to share...I did a search and didn't find anything about it.

Here is a link to it at Bath and Body Works. Plus, there is a guarantee. Love to read about other people's experience.

That sounds very interesting, thanks! I´m definitely going to check that out.

I was going to buy Origins Never A Dull Moment since so many people here recommended it but the guy there said it's only for people with very oily or very dry skin! Is this true? What should I get now?

^ Ha  The sales assistant at my local Origins actually told me that the Never A Dull Moment line is intended for people with normal to slightly combination skin, so when I told her I had combination to slightly oily, she said the line isn't for me. However, against her advice, I still bought the cleanser which I actually found was too drying for me! I have also tried the scrub, which I found was much better. It was a nice scrub, didn't perform miracles for me, although I did miss it when it was gone.

Vogue did a story on healthy skin and different products and they said that Patricia Wexler products worked really well. They also said that Green Cream works well. But I think I'm going to go buy some Patricia Wexler products today.

But right now I use Witch Hazel along with some different cleansers but Witch Hazel clears up skin and evens out complexion although I've never had skin problems so I don't know how it will work on someone with average skin.

Silly me... I still depend mostly only heavily on water and Vaseline. :innocent:

I cut out most of my grain intake except brown basmati rice, all milk products and reduced my intake of refined sugars. I also began to suppliment with omega three oils. My face was so bad that if I didnt take the pill I looked horrible (acne and oily skin) and often would not leave the house. Now my skin is absolutely amazing flawless. I dont take the pill or wear any foundation most days and I have the most luminous healthy and glowing skin that I've ever had in 10 years.

oh and also I stopped using sunscreen which is laden with chemicals. Instead I get 10 minutes of sun exposure a day in the morning or afternoon and also wear a hat and long sleeves most days. I have dark olive skin so I need more vitamin D intake. My mother has not used sunscreen EVER and at 46 years of age her skin is absolutely stunning (random people stop and tell her this). Not a wrinkle anywhere. A few tiny freckles but thats about it. I pray that I have inherited that amazing skin.

Oh and another thing it is essential to get to bed before 11pm, excersise and reduce alchohol intake <------ I'm yet to do these things but they are most definately the secret to my mothers awesome complexion.

You guys, i found this really amazing & cheap moisturizer, it's from clean & clear so it works for oily skin as well. You should try it, i promise, it's good.

Oh & it's called 'morning glow', how convenient, eh? ^_^

I try to use all natural products, but this one I cannot live without. It is by far the best daytime moisturizer I've ever used (for my skin)...and I've tried La Mer, Prada, Philosophy, many others that cost $$$!

Edit to do a bit more than pimp a product...
Cutting out dairy really helped my skin.
I find that when I eat a lot of tomatoes my skin stays clearer (not sure why).
I drink water and tea constantly throughout the day and will never go back to coffee/juice/soda. Not only does my skin look better, but I FEEL better.

Ahh... see... I tried the Clean & Clear Morning Glow... I still have it... am not impressed. My skin is dry, and it doesn't feel nice on my skin at all... perhaps I need something more moisturizing. Not only does it feel nice on my skin, but I have no idea where the "glow" part comes from. I see now sheen or shimmer whatsoever on my skin. I was so disappointed in this product!

I started using MyChelle cranberry cleanser (you can find it at a
market on the run H.E.B. or I'm sure Whole Foods or the link below)
and I love it because it cleans but doesn't strip and the smell is nice!
I sometimes wash with Cetaphil as well when I feel I need more
moisturizing.

I use witch hazel and a little bit of Co. Bigelow & Apothecaries
Rosewater on a cotton pad for a toner. The witch hazel is more
deep cleaning and the rosewater is gentle & smells good so that's
why I dab a little of both on a cotton pad.

Then I use Kiehl's Sodium PCA moisturizer during the day then for
bedtime I use Biodroga Puran Formula (from my facialist)

And when I need to exfoliate (once or twice a week) I use Philosophy's
Greatest Love, the other gentle exfoliator I like is Kiehl's Pineapple/Papaya
^_^ either one of those is great:heart:

Cutting out dairy, sugar and reducing wheat works for me plus lots of vege, fruit, water & exercise! I also use Palmers cocoa butter & it makes my skin beautiful, well moisturised & glowy!

i'm addicted to this stuff for light moisture (at night), and over makeup to meld down a powdery look (during the day):

^^^ I've also really wanted to try that!

I'm 18 and I usually have perfect skin but I've noticed that my skin lately is very dry and is forming a rough patch on top .... I've used Neutrogena Deep Clean but it doesnt seem to help!!!
