I actually love this. The palette is to die for, the USAGE of the palette is absolutely incredible, and the accessories are lustworthy. I'm so into those shades, bags, and shoes!

The sack dress thing Marni invests so heavily in looks poorly on most women's figures, though. Being slender isn't enough to pull off these looks - you also need to be like 5'10" to avoid looking dowdy, much like Prada.

But in terms of styling, this collection is phenomenal.

neat the opening for the boots is much wider
there's no closure either
hum i wonder if it is comfortable

a lot of open cold air for the calves

had a chance to see some of the new pieces and the best part is the fabric. It's thick and squishy, reminds me of a mattress cover. I quite liked it though...I cant get this dress and the jacket out of mind, the pattern was so fantastic, like muted italian marble. It's just so freakin expensive these days...really going to put alot of Marni lovers out of range, sadly.

SF, those are ultra crisp and impressive, thanks for posting.

thank you for the pictures !!

i agree the fabrics are the best. and the colours
they really are designer fabrics :o you can never find interesting textures like these at the fabric store
they remind me of upholstery fabrics, only finer.. i went to a showroom that had sets and sets of them.. such interesting yarns and finishes..so unique
& the fact that a lot is woven
rather than just a flat print
it means there is a lot more to give to the sense of touch  much more tactile, you really feel a difference

it's a great observation, luckyme :p
i just had to check my own mattress cover.. it's just like as you said
mine is a mesh but it has a sort of transparent fleece bonded to it
it's very thick indeed
plus it comes with a quilted pattern

any in particular shown in the collection shots you saw were spongey? maybe the leathery looking ones?
i noticed this was written as a trend for s/s 09
for example, spongey, thick knits (using thick yarns)
