I don't get how everyone says she "looks soo fresh" and "good". How?

I look at pictures of MK and A now and I think "Since when is it beautiful to look old, grey, tired, washed out"? We have such an odd imagine of what is beautiful nowadays. This (pic above) is gorgeous to me. But not how they recently dress/look. I think we sometimes talk ourselves into liking their look just cause it's "so hip" or whatever... But the Olsens SO aren't my standard of beautiful, classy women anymore...It's not "age" it's just how they present and style themselves nowadays. As if they on purpose try to look their ugliest.
Sorry just my opinion.

I get your point but beauty is subjective. Mk's lifestyle has taken its toll on her skin but by fresh i mean clean make up. She could have easily gone for dark eyes and whatnot but she didnt. Yes she might look washed out but i think its refreshing from the usual smokey eye or dark lip.

They did used to be more groomed, but at that point they were marketing themselves to a very different demographic. Now they're marketing to the girls that are like them, naturally gorgeous even when they're bare faced, smoking, unshowered and should technically look like s**t.
PS. The second photo under "good" is MK at her worst...that's really sad.

The thing is though I really don't think they look 'gorgeous' when they're unshowered and leave their hair greasy and unbrushed. Or when they wear make up that doesn't really suit them (like the photo of MK with red lips and lots of black eyeliner)I think there is a difference between the photos that Bonjour posted, and I agree with her, it's all about their hair being shiny and looking healthy, and them wearing make up that brings out their features nicely. And yeah that second photo was taken when MK wasn't healthy, but the point is her hair is taken care of and she's wearing pretty make up, that's what's 'good', not anything else if you get my point. But them being bare faced has nothing to do with it, I think everyone can look great without make up! It's when they apply too much or use the wrong colours I think it's a problem
