McQ by Alexander McQueen S/S 07 NYC

that last tiered black dress is okay...but overall I must agree that this is indeed quite bland.

all I can say is that I would rather much invest in pieces from the mainline than spend money for bulk pieces from this one....

I think Alexander might have had his head into the signature so much he probably wasn't so inspired in doing this stuff

i've seen the clothes up close at harvey nichols. not too bad. the finishing was alright. i expected better from McQueen. it might be a duffision line, but it has your name on it! make an effort!

there is no way mcqueen himself designs this
is this really mcq? i haven't seen much but i remembered it being better than this...

Ive been wondering about this, and wanting to see it. What stores is it in???

i really like the stuff from the s/s collection like all of my friends did the campaign (they were cast from the street) i especially like an orange hoodie with scary clown print and silver waistcoat with the same print oh and a big silver skirt:flower:

second hand line. nothing interesting, boring!
but it's gonna be sell good, I guess.
here you just buy the basics outifits with the McQueen name on it!
go in second hand shop...you'll find the same cheaper!

The striped trouser's are very Balenciaga, the dress? I could see it in any high street store! Or perhaps Diane Von furstenburg.
This is not Alexander Mcqueen at all. Its boring! And the prices....too expensive to throw on these average looking clothes and copies.

FYI the McQ campaign featuring a young girl with a svastika brooch put on her jacket will be discontinued.
McQueen did apologised but it was said that it was the manufacturer which decided to do this picture with this "accessorie" which wasn't from the collection.
:flower:

What do you mean by 'manufacturer"? Do you mean by this people responsible for producing and advertising those clothes? I don't quite get it...

So what's wrong with this guy? For a season he shows an AWESOME collection, rich, taylored and elaborate... and he comes with this?!
I'm really dissapointed. I didn't love his last F/W collection from the 'if i was a woman i'd wear it' point of view, but I must admit he was incredible from the 'fashion point of view/execution' side.
Bleh, he sucks xD

I think I know what he's trying to do. Turning McQueen into a demi-couture, super-expensive, extremely gorgeous clothes. And making McQ into the more accessible/wearable line, except McQ isn't staying true to McQueen himself so therefore it's completely useless and undesireable.

this is a really crappy line. it was crappy for fall and it looks crappy for spring. its really just trying to buy into the cache of the mcqueen name, it has no authentic design or quality credibility.

it is what it is - a more accessible line for people that are compelled to wear the name for name's sake, I don't think very many of the secondary lines from designers are going to compare to their higer end lines, because then it would diminish the more expensive line from a business standpoint - meaning why buy the higher priced items when you can get the same quality for less - so there is a compelling interest to make it "less" than or somehow different. It's for a different market.

are these the ones sold on nordstrom???
i agree that zara carries better clothes than this collection...
but i prefer mango than zara...
