Spent my weekend watching John Waters films and I just had to come back and take another look at this collection. It's honestly quite genius, I didn't like it at all when it first came out but after watching Female Trouble it's amazing how she conveyed the trashy glamour of Conceta, Chiclette and Dawn Davenport while elevating it to a high fashion context. It perfectly manages the trick of making bad taste look desirable, the color/material combinations could only be possible in a Miuccia collection: oversized plaid and faux leather in shades of avocado green, lavender and toothpaste blue will never looks this good again.
