When are casting for shows in paris? 1,2,3,,6 days before the show?? And fitings?

Castings already started (Some like Balenciaga have started as early as during New York fashion week). But many of the important Paris shows are cast traditionally, with the designer and show stylist being the ones in charge It's almost unusual to see an actual casting director involved.

They all try to outdo each other with their nympholepsy to create epic castings in order to be considered so "tasteful, major and classy".

Hakaan casting lacked something.

I think casting can be a marketing strategy. Yeah if you are an established designer you can cast according to your preferences and if you are a niche player and want to remain a niche player and above such things, you can do likewise. But if you want to make a giant leap forward in terms of exposure and recognition, then having an all-star model cast showcase your clothes is an option. Hakaan has not been totally off the grid, I think some of their stuff gets editorial play, however it seems like they want to start sitting at the big kids table during Fashion Week.

I will be curious to see at the end of the week how many hits its thread gets for this season and how it compared to last season.

ETA:
IIRC they've casted top models before, no not supers or demi-supers, but the cast has featured top established models and hot newcomers, I would not say that previous casts have been all-star casts a la ODLR or D&G, but the major models have walked for them... but I can't swear to it because I get Hakaan, Haider-Ackerman and a couple of others mixed up.
