Nylon May 2007 : Lindsay Lohan

ooh i wonder if they will respond??

I doubt it. I've emailed them a couple of times and they never have. But who knows? All I want is for them to read it really.

As soon as I'm getting my copy in the mail I'm planning on writing them a letter... and using the Lindsay cover as the paper on which I will do so.

^^ Better yet, you can use the cover & the text for the editor's letter like so:

Yes, I'm kind of in a silly mood! :p

I can handle Ashley Olsen. I see the reasoning behind that. I cannot stand that Christina and Lindsay are on the cover there. There's no originality there!

christina ricci is one thing, because while her interviews are a bit bland, she does shoot good editorial photos, but LL is just overly done. yes, nylon unfortunately has gone down hill and is turning into another lucky/glamour crap fest.

just like ELLE girl...yes...one day you'll get just this random subscription of cosmo girl in the mail unexpectadly...., with articles on how its fun to french kiss and touch yourself, how to be a bottle blonde and why you should want to parade around like wh*re-miz-hilton......you'll ask yourself "WTF?!" and find out somehow that a good magaizne is no longer in existance, so they're substatuting the hole in your life with pink COSMO ANTHRAX!

They're probably just trying to draw new readers in. Once they discover the content aside from the cover feature they will continue to buy regardless the cover star (at least they're hoping). I remember the first Vogue I bought was when I was 14 and it was because Britney Spears was on the cover. I thank-god they put her on the cover for my teeny bopper *** to buy otherwise I would never have discovered high fashion for another couple years.

I "discovered" NYLON this year so I thought that their covers were always like that, LL, Avril, Christina...

i'm half-expecting hilary duff to be on the next one now. i hope i'm wrong!

if they're going to go the 'celebrity' route for a bit, i hope they put keira knightley on a future one, as she has a few new films coming out this year, and she'd be a lovely choice, i think.

Ive had a feeling for months that they sold Nylon to another publishing company, with the ways things changed and how you can now buy the magazine subscription discounted for around $3-6 dollars a year now (the same as allure) on ebay, which you cant do unless the magazine is publicated by a big publishing label (because the people who sell it get big discounts from these companies). That would explain the changes atleast.

Looks fantastic...Linday's covers are always great
haha, I'm the only person who seems to be agreeing you, ilovejeisa! :) I love Lindsay and she's a great actress and is very photogenic, so I'll be looking forward to it. :innocent:

Gotta duck away from Lindsay haters now...

The cover, captured my me:

She's spreading her legs apart DX she also does in one of the inside pictures.

Oh, and guess who photographed it? Yes, MSJ.

oh my goodness. the cover's worse than i thought.

at least they're featuring the arctic monkeys... though that hardly redeems it...

It's not that I don't like Lindsay, it's that I see her on SOOO many covers. NYLON is supposed to be this original and different magazine. It's supposed to showcase what other magazines don't. I hardly see how jumping on the Lindsay and Christina bandwagon is being either original or different! I love and treasure my NYLON's, and I just hate to see such predictable celebrities on their covers. :innocent:

LA issue....young hollywood issue? What's the freaking difference. It sounds like Teen Vogue. I HATE theme issues. Unless its the beauty issue.

embarrassing. working in fashion journalism, it's just a shame to see values go to sh*t.
