So I want to start a Panic! At the Disco thread because they are amazing and are my current obession. The first thing that attracted me to them were their lyrics- "

"I bet you just can't keep up with, with the fashionistas and
Tonight, tonight you are, you are a whispering campaign
I bet to them your name is "cheap"
I bet to them you look like shh..."

"Oh, well imagine, as I'm pacing the pews in a church corridor and I can't help but to hear, no I can't help but to hear an exchanging of words
What a beautiful wedding! What a beautiful wedding says a bridesmaid to the waiter
Oh yes but what a shame, what a shame the poor Groom's bride is a wh*re!"

There are soo many clever lyrics but I'm too lazy to list them all. I'm going to their concert on March 15th and am sooo exciting! :woot:

"The Only Difference Between Martyrdom And Suicide Is Press Coverage"

Sit tight, I'm gonna need you to keep time
Come on just snap, snap, snap your fingers for me
Good, good now we're making some progress
Come on just tap, tap, tap your toes to the beat
And I believe this may call for a proper introduction, and well
Don't you see, I'm the narrator, and this is just the prologue?

Swear to shake it up, if you swear to listen
Oh, we're still so young, desperate for attention
I aim to be your eyes, trophy boys, trophy wives

Swear to shake it up, and you swear to listen
Oh, we're still so young, desperate for attention
I aim to be your eyes, trophy boys, trophy wives

Applause, applause, no wait wait
Dear studio audience, I've an announcement to make:
It seems the artists these days are not who you think
So we'll pick back up on that on another page

And I believe this may call for a proper introduction, and well
Don't you see, I'm the narrator and this is just the prologue

Swear to shake it up, if you swear to listen
Oh, we're still so young, desperate for attention
I aim to be your eyes, trophy boys, trophy wives

Swear to shake it up, and you swear to listen
Oh, we're still so young, desperate for attention
I aim to be, your eyes, trophy boys, trophy wives

Swear to shake it up, you swear to listen
Swear to shake it up, you swear to listen
Swear to shake it up, you swear to listen
Swear to shake it up, swear to shake it up

Swear to shake it up, if you swear to listen
Oh, we're still so young, desperate for attention
I aim to be your eyes, trophy boys, trophy wives

Swear to shake it up, if you swear to listen
Oh, we're still so young, desperate for attention
I aim to be your eyes

I was going to start this thread! Wow, I really love this band. I am determined to marry either Ryan Ross or Brendan Urie, they are both too cute!

As for the music- I just adore them. And the "I Write Sins not Tragedies" video is soo artistic, it was reminscent of Bowie glam rock days.

I've seen about 100 different posts about them all over the internet in the past couple of weeks. I think I'll finally download something of theirs.

I keep seeing things on the net about this band...but have not heard them.

But it seems that alot of the people talking about them are still in high school.

Where can you check them out???

I'm going to their Feb 28th concert in Tempe! I want to find out what songs they're singing at their other concerts leading up to ours. Does anyone know how I can find this out? Thanks!

If you look on their bulletins, there is a site where you can download one of their songs.

I would like to know as well!

Panic! at The Disco is like my coffee. They were an acquired taste because of their different sound, but now I'm basically addicted. They're lyrics are clever and the instrumentation is like no other.

i looooove panic! at the disco! theyre just so different..and awesome

"The Only Difference Between Martyrdom And Suicide Is Press Coverage"

Did they write this based on the Chuck Palahniuk book "Survivor"? I remember him using that line. Good song, whatever its based on.

Actually I think its just trendy to make your song titles from classic quotes, even if they have nothing to do with the song in question.

The fact that everyone at my school loves them makes me despise them but I will admit they're lyrics are clever! Although the actual music I dislike.

It in fact is! And "Lying is the Most Fun a Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off" and "But It's Better If You Do" are both lines from the movie Closer, and are both said by Natalie Portman. Interestingly enough, she plays a stripper in said movie and "But It's..." is a song about lap dances!:woot:

As of late, I've become Panic! obsessed... :innocent:  B)
