I've read some people forecasting that the "disco sl*t" look will be the next trend come fall, but I don't know what that means. Anyone care to enlighten me?

I'm guessing it will have something to do with Deborah Harry's look in the 70s.

Can't wait to see what this turns out to be! :buzz:

Debbie Harry was a certified first wave punk in the seventies, which is to say, diametrically opposed to disco anything. :judge:

edit: well, technically, there was Heart of Glass.

As soon as I read the beginning of this thread, I thought "just look at anything metallic or shiny at american apparel", but you beat me to it!

i started using that term first here

and i also said it will be a trend for fall 2009 as the prim proper lady look which dominates now will loosen up for fall .

    Disco sl*t look
    means
    -blue/green eyeshadow
    heavy make up
slinky clothes , satins , lame
    skin tight tops /slinky halters
    strappy stacked high heeled sandals
    snake skin
    heavy parfume
    danskin tops
    wrap around skirts
    animal print dresses
    jersey jumpsuits
high waisted super tight spandex pants

disco sl*t doesnt mean cheap 10 dollar hookers from hollywood , the look is more high class call girl who would hang out in the discos in the late 70s and early 80s

NOOO....right now that whole 60s mod hangover is still there , more cutsy with flats , baby doll tops and skinnies ..this year you will see a shift to more waist concious clothes and tight tops.
