also, i own those purple leggings (american apparel) and literally never wear them. they are fun but i don't take myself seriously in them..... so i can't imagine anyone else.

Oh my no. Those leggings had the perfect potential to be chic and disco sl*t but these girls make it seem messy and contrived.

For definition see Americanized Euro-trash or J-LO in her prime; aka, Jenny From The Block.

I used those zebra leggings in an editorial for Canadian Teen Girl magazine. It was just a really cute, innocent shoot for the technology issue - shot in an arcade. Here's the shot:

SO to sum up, print leggings CAN look non-trashy cute and I'm a shameless show-off.

:woot:

EDIT: I should probably credit the crew...

Funny, when I think of "disco-sl*t", I look back at all those photos by Allan Tannenbaum of gorgeous ladies decked out in Halston and Diane Von Furstenberg at Studio 54 in the late 70's.

yeah that is the look , the photos on this page are more 10 dollar hooker than high class disco sl*t , those 3 girls look like they robbed an american apparel store.

There's an editorial in this month's U.S. Elle that has the whole 'disco sl*t' vibe, complete with colourful spotlights. I think it's Julia Dunstall in that ed. I'll see if I can find it online somewhere...

To me disco sl*t is simple and sleek. Nothing too complicated. No multiple loud prints.

lady gaga is for sure not a disco sl*t , disco sluts are sleek and seductive not loud and in your face with tackiness .

When I think of Disco sl*t, I think of Bianca Jagger or Jerry Hall. I don't know what modern counterparts would apply to that. Maybe, Madonna during her Confessions on the Dancefloor phase. She was sorta disco sl*t

Anybody remember the Halstonettes!!? Now, that was high end Disco sl*t at it's finest...! ^_^

haha i think this might be right. Look at Lady Gaga and even Beyonce's get up for 'single ladies'
