i have come to realize that fall is still quite some time away...
what i really want to focus on at first is interim pieces...that will transition to fall when layered...

Oh god, it is damn cold here already!! I only have ribbed tights, scarves, and some cardigans so far. I need a plaid/flannel shirt.

Does anyone have info on the white YSL laceless laceups in the latest W.?? Mens? Womens? I think its Sept 07 It has Gweyenth on the cover.

thanks SoftGrey- I will check the boots and the HM leggings...can t believe how cold is here in London- better get ready for winter soon

If you want a men's styled flannel I'd take a look at engineered garments offerings (sold at Nomad). Material, construction and design is miles ahead of other brands in the mid-price range.

check the shoe section on high heel laceups- i think someone said the women's are on the saks site now...

i am starting to feel like i want some blue...
so now it's officially....

burgundy
chestnut
off white
blue
grey
black

the colours here are so off...^_^
we have no good browns...

I'm so excited for f/w!! I love wintery clothes way more than summer ones. I really need to find a coat though. I tried one on today in a little boutique in my town, and it was really nice but I'm not sure on the length :ermm: Once I get a coat it will make shopping so much easier as it will decide how much I have left to spend on other pieces.

thanks luckyme

softgrey, it looks like wool jersey, but not elastic. dry/hard textured for wool.

yes Fuuma

I think kristensen du nord always uses good browns for basics?

...
i was talking about the colours for writing here at tFS...
we have only one brown colour box..
^_^

the fabric on the pants seems really interesting...

i would like a pair of off white shoes maybe...either a creamy colour or a very light grey..like putty...maybe little short flat boots even...
but only if i come across something good...
a bag this colour could also be good...
but i think a chestnut brown bag would be great...

see, silly me

okay augusta did creamy white short boots for S/S 08.

I was looking for fall/winter clothes at H&M, Zara and Mango today and am so disappointed because all they had were either short- to 3/4 sleeve pullovers or t-shirts. I didn't have any luck finding a purple scarf or a new big bag for school either. I saw a gorgeous black patent leather bag, though, and I might be going back to buy it.

I'm relly looking forward to autumn fashionwise :) though I have set myself a very thight budget :ermm: so I will focus mostly on my old stuff :)

I think grey, black, purple/lilac will be again the dominating colours for me and also 'cornflower blue' and light cream.

I already got some black patent leather bag, high waisted wool trousers, beautiful thights and overknees I think the coat will be the heartpiece I really like it.

hmm it really looks much nicer on a person.

what I still want is a pencil skirt, I feel like wearing mostly skirts this autumn.
the one thing I can't decide at all is which shoes to buy :ninja: I'm torn between a pair high heel oxford shoes (they have a rather pure style, beautiful leather, 5cm heel, are incredibly comfy) and these Paul Green shoes:

they also look much nicer in reality and have an 'open V' front - yup I'm really bad in descriping things.
anyway -could anyone help me with my dilemma?

^ Like your wardrobe plan and color scheme. What a gorgeous purple lining. I'd go for the oxfords ;)

i don't think we have that brand over here...
augusta is the name of a city in Giorgia...

s/s 08?...i wanted something for fall though...
to wear with dark grey or black and maybe navy...

*one good thing is that i remembered that i have a really nice brown satchel/granny bag and a really nice black suede shoulder bag that i had made at Jutta Neuman years ago...
i checked the top shelves of the closet and there they are!!!
...both are perfect for now!...

i would like to find some shiny brooches like the lanvin one...
shiny black like my little kitty brooch...but something bigger...
i feel like something shiny...
:p

lilliana...that sounds very pretty...
i was at bloomindales yesterday- they are def showing those colours for fall...as is net-a-porter...
personally i am a little concerned about it...
there are just so many ways that could go wrong...
sounds like you have a good handle on it though...
:flower:

I think Augusta is another Cdiem offshoot....bet those boots are very nice!

soft, your color scheme sounds very like Marni from a few seasons ago, and I remember they did some very nice white pumps that year too (probably on yoox right now). There were shiny red accessories as well, I think.

laika - your Isabel Marant pictures has me looking back at that collection. I don't know if I feel comfortable wearing a full mini-skirt, but I do know that I want to be wearing combinations of deep navy, drab olive green, and greys with bronze/gold jewelry and warm brown leather shoes!!

That sounds really nice, tourist, I like how you are doing your own thing. I think Veronique Branquinho will have some good skirts for this look.

I am definitely on board for some dark navy and drab olive...I would love an olive skirt to wear with black and blue. I found a pretty good black skirt at Zara yesterday--several inches above the knee, with front pleats and pockets underneath. I need to try it on with some stuff and see if it actually works.
